The Long Dream

The three traversed the dark hallways of the hospital in the hope to find something that would lead them to Mono. Pretender clutched Y/N's hand tightly as if he might disappear if she were to let go. Y/N didn't mind and let her do what she wanted. Six held his hand as well. It became everyone's mutual assurance that they were all there with each other and that no one is going to leave.

Y/N's palms began to sweat. The deafening silence was making him more anxious to find Mono. Six seemed to have felt this because she gave him a little squeeze to let him know it's going to be okay. He smiled at her and she smiled back.

Their thoughts are interrupted as they heard the shuffling of plastic. Six quickly moves her lighter over to the noise and saw that it was a mannequin. It stopped in its tracks as soon as the light shined on it. Y/N suddenly had a terrible feeling realizing what this might mean.

"They only move in darkness...", Y/N stated.

"B-But there's no light besides from Six's lighter!", Pretender exclaimed.

Y/N put his hand on his chin and began to think.

How are we going to move-

Oh.

Y/N looked down and saw a flashlight. He knew who's flashlight it was.

Mono.

"Thanks, buddy. We're on our way to get you soon. Just hold on...", Y/N stated under his breath as he picked up the flashlight.

The Pretender came from behind him and saw what he had just picked up.

"Was that his?", she asked.

"Yeah. If we found this on the floor that must mean we're going in the right direction."

Six then puts away her lighter thinking that it wouldn't be needed for now.

They keep moving to flash the mannequins as they go. Y/N thinks back to the moments when he met Pretender.

If she's like me then where did they keep her? 

 Maybe in the hospital?

It would make sense, but how did she-

Wait. How did she escape?

Y/N once again takes this time to study Pretenders features.

She was adorable, to say the least. She looked like a doll.

Pretender looks up at him and just stares as he did. Her yellow eyes once again peering through her bangs.

"Is something on my face dear?", she asked.

"Uh...no I was just thinking."

"About what?"

"About you."

Pretender's eyes widen in surprise.

Y/N just stared at her confused.

Had he said something wrong?

Pretender's cheeks then go red. Embarrassed at what Y/N said.

Six stoic faces then goes into a scowl, but she doesn't know why.

Six continues to think something is wrong with her.

Y/N stops suddenly hearing ragged breathing near them.

Flashing the light all around them he flashes a wall.

He was horrified, to say the least. Mono was all bloody on the wall. Multiple cuts all over his body.
