True Character

Remember one of the first things that Six thought should have been an unspoken rule?

Speaking got you caught. Speaking got you killed.

As soon as the four left the bathroom the hallway was packed with bullies. Around every turn was a mischievous ceramic monster. Grace was in obvious terror. Mono and Six didn't move an inch.

"Well, this is not good.", said Y/N.

"Y/N, do we...run?", asked Mono.

Y/N turns around and pats Mono on the head. Everyone stares at him confused.

"Run? That would be boring."

"Wait! So we're not going to run?!", yelled Grace.

"No, why would we?", Y/N deadpanned.

All three of the onlookers just stared at Y/N.

"Whatever."

Y/N takes off his glasses and hands them to Mono. He then pulls up his sleeves and proceeded to walk over to the seemingly infinite army of bullies. Grace then grabs his arm.

"Wait wait wait. Please don't tell me you're going to fight all of them!?"

"I thought that was pretty obvious.", Y/N responded.

"I don't care how strong you are, there is no way you're going to make it out of that alive.", Grace said scoldingly.

"I don't want you to fight.", said Six quietly.

Y/N looked around him and decided it would be easier just to fight.

"It won't take that long."

"Promise?", asked Six.

"Promise.", Y/N responded while smiling.

Mono stared at Y/N in anticipation. He looked at his eyes and saw them light up in a sense. They transformed from brown to blue with a red ring around his pupil.

The trio watched in awe. As Y/N ran through ten at a time seemingly not stopping or getting tired once. He kept kicking, punching, elbowing, and kneeing until all they saw were flying body parts of the bullies.

"Maybe we should help him?", asked Mono.

Six and Grace looked at him like he was crazy.

"I'll take that as a no."

They could hear Y/N laughing crazily and see him smiling as he continued to cut down waves of enemies. 

It was like he was in a trance that continued every time he struck a blow.

Y/N himself didn't even realize that he took them all out. He stood on a pile of bullies breathing heavily.

Six started to approach him.

"Y/N, are you okay?", she asked.

Y/N's eyes darted to Six. She felt like a deer caught in headlights. Y/N walked up to her, but Six was afraid. This reminded her of when she was with the hunter. She felt trapped. Y/N stopped right in front of her and reached out his hand. She closed her eyes in fear.

Then felt a hand on top of her head.

"Yeah, I'm alright."

Y/N gave her a toothy smile.

Six let out an exhale in relief. Y/N walked over to Mono and held out his hand for his glasses which Mono happily complied.

Grace thought that Y/N would be incredibly useful to her. After seeing his display of power she knew that she wouldn't have to worry about if she was safe anymore. For some odd reason, Six had a bad feeling about Grace. When she was around her all of her gut instinct told her that this girl would be dangerous, but Y/N didn't seem to mind so she left the thought alone.
