« And if you divide that number with this one you will find x »

Tul looked in disbelief at the pale man sitting next to him, « and how did you even come to this conclusion ? »

« It's easy, you just need to read your lesson and apply it » the university student shrugged, to him this math exercise seemed pretty easy.

« If you say so ... » Tul replied, eyeing him weirdly.

« Besides, you are talking to a finance major here, of course I know how to solve this » Max retorted proudly, sticking his tongue teasingly at his lover.

They currently were in Tul's bedroom, in one of their infamous tutoring lesson. Since they had run into Tul's parents during their date 3 weeks ago, Max has deemed wiser to go along the little lie he had served Tul's father about their student-tutor relationship. Besides, from what he had seen these weeks, his lover could really use these lessons.

« Boys, here, I got you a little something to drink »

A soft knock followed by a gentle voice was heard before the door opened on a petite woman holding a tray with various snacks.

« Ah thanks M'am » Max smiled at the middle aged woman who had the same features as his boyfriend, and got up from his seat to take the tray out of his lover's mom hand, before setting it on the desk, « we could use a little break »

« Is it going well ? You are not giving too much of a hard time to poor Max, right ? » she playfully raised an eyebrow. She knew how hopeless her boy was with this subject, and to see him so invested in his study now was quite troubling. This was probably the power of love, she chuckled to herself at her thought.

« Mooooom, please, go. You are disturbing us. » the younger boy whined childishly.

« Ok ok » she laughed heartily, « oh by the way, your father and I will be leaving in a little while, we should be back by dinner time » she kissed her son's cheek and added in a fake stern voice, « so no funny business, ok ? »

« Yeah yeah, bye mom » Tul rolled his eyes at his mother antics, feigning his annoyance.

« You little ... » the sound of her laugher was muffled by the sound of the door closing behind her back.

He was glad he could still joke with his mother like this, after everything that had happened between them. After all, if not for her, he would not have been able to go and reconcile with Max all those weeks ago. And it was thanks to her, the next day, he was not scolded by his father for disobeying him. He had feared for the worse when he opened the house door's the next afternoon, only to be greeted by his father's usual nod. At his dumbfounded face, the only answer he got was a wink from his mother and an enigmatic, « I told you I got it. »
He could never thank his mother enough for all she has done since he came out to her, though he knew it must not have been easy for her.

« Your mom is amazing » Max declared, as if could hear his thought.

He smiled broadly, yep his mom was amazing.

« Like son, like mother » the tanned boy teasingly retorted, he was feeling particularly good today. He had an amazing boyfriend, his mother accepted him, and he had his dad off his back. His life was perfect.
