The reception desk was plain, like the lady working it.
"Uh, just fill out this form and sit over there," the lady even spoke in a bland way. I gave Levi a glance and we moved towards two empty seats beside each other.
"They will probably make me wait in here while you get the x-rays done," Levi sighed.
"No, I have an idea." Levi peered at me, clearly intrigued.
"What if you say you're my brother, or some kinda of relation." He almost looked hurt when I said that."What if I- okay don't be weird or anything, but if I said I was your boyfriend they might let me in." I had actually thought the same thing, but I didn't want to make the situation uncomfortable.
"Yeah, I'd be okay with that." I turned to face him. His face relaxed, glad I didn't turn down his idea.
The waiting room was less busy than when I was here last time. There were only two other people in the waiting room, the receptionist and an elderly man, who I assumed was just in for a check up. Hopefully I wouldn't have to wait very long. Levi handed the clipboard to the lady and sat back beside me.
"If we are going to lie we have to make it believable," he whispered. Was this his way of making a move on me? I had to agree it was rather adorable, despite it actually being all an act. He reached his hand over to mine and held it in his. It was warm and made me feel safe. He looked down at me and his longish hair fell into his eye. Without even noticing I moved it back out.
After what seemed like one second I heard a familiar voice. It was my brother- frick. I let go of Levi's hand and looked away from him. I could see the hurt in his face until he realized it was because my family was making a grand entrance. He looked at my family, then me and whispered "ohhh."
"Who's this?" I could already tell my dad was judging him. He was looking him up and down as the words escaped from him mouth.
"My name is Levi sir, very nice to meet you." Levi held out his firm hand to my dad. I could see my dad considering the fact he probably wasn't as horrible as he assumed. Weird how a hand shake can determine that.
"Nice to meet you, Levi." My mom was probably happy that there was finally a possibility for me to find love.
"Nice to meet you too Mrs. Bluhmfeild." Who knew he could be so polite.
"Well it was nice meeting all of you, but I better go home before my parents wonder where I am." Then the mysterious Levi disappeared. I could feel my face slightly sadden."Ms. Bluhmfeild, the doctor is ready to see you." I didn't think anyone could be so boring, but if it was a competition, this lady would get first.
My dad got a wheelchair from a near corner and brought it to me. Pretty soon my family was walking down a hallway in complete silence.
"I hope you are okay honey," my mom said worriedly.
"Yeah, it will be okay," my dad said trying not to make me worried. They knew about my anxiety and tried to keep me calm. Even though I knew it was bad, having people to comfort me made me feel better.
In the x-ray room I lay on a table, with a heavy blanket thing covering my body.
The lady made me move my leg in a horrid position and I let out a Yelp. I was so happy when the x-rays were done.
"Well it's definitely broken, see right there." The doctor pointed to a lit up picture, which indicated my bone was completely split in half. I shuttered at the thought that the broken bone was located inside of me.
"You will have to wear a walking cast to heal this particular bone fracture." At least a walking cast would be better than using crutches I thought to myself. Unless the crutches were Levi. I couldn't stop thinking about him. How he could be rebellious and polite at the same time- how close we had been. I couldn't help but wonder if I would ever see him again.
