You look up when you hear commotion outside the hut. You and Newt go outside to see what was going on. Everyone is gathered by the entrance to the maze. "That can't be them." You hear Newt say and you look to see what he's seeing. Two figures are carrying what looks to be a corps to the entrance of the Glade. "Is that Thomas and Minho?" You say. Squinting your eyes to get a better look. Sur enough just as the doors are about to close. Thomas and Minho come out of the maze carrying Alby. "Holy crap it's them!" You say looking at Newt. You go to help them. "How the bloody hell did you guys survive." Newt says kneeling beside Alby who was half dead. "He's been stung. Look." You say pointing at a gash in his temple. The med jacks put him on the stretcher and take him the the med hut.

"He broke the rules." Gally says. You have been called to a meeting to discuss Thomas' punishment for going in the maze when he is not a runner. "Yea but he survived." You say. Rolling your eyes. Gally gives you a look that tells you that you should shut up. "What do you say Newt?" Newt looks shocked.

Newt's POV:
"What do you say Newt?" My eyes widen. I've never been asked what they should do before. I swallow my panic. "Well he did break the rules. I say we put him in the pit for the night." Gally seems to agree. "And no food for the night either." He says. We all agree. "And what will we do with you?" He turns to Y/N my heart skips a beat. She didn't do anything wrong. I didn't get punished when I tried to jump off the maze. Did I? "I say we lock her in pit." He says, bending down to look her in the eyes. I can see she's scared. I give her hand a comforting squeeze. "Or maybe we can settle this with an other fight." He's looking at me now. I give Gally a death stare. "Or better yet we do both." Put my hand up. "The pit will be fine." I say. He smirks. "Perfect."

Y/N's POV:
"What was that about? I can fight Gally!" You tell Newt. You're locked in the pit. "I didn't want you getting hurt. Not again." He says. You're furious. And cold. Gally didn't give you any blankets. "Do you have the key?" You ask absolutely desperate. He shakes his head. "You're second in command how do you not have the key?" He laughs. He asks if you have a bobby pin. You just happened to have one in your hair. You give it to him. "I'll let you out under one condition. You have to tell me what happened." You agree and he lets you out by picking the lock. "Where did you learn to do that?" You ask pulling yourself out. "I have my ways." You laugh. God you loved him.

"So what was that about?" He asks. You tell him about your memory/dream and what the lady said. They only like you because you have something they want. Even him. Newt looks at you. Tears are falling down your face. He wipes them away and keeps his hand cupping the side of your face. You lock your eyes on each other. "I would never use you. I promise. I love you." You smile at his words. "I love you too." You say holding the hand that's on your face.
