In a land of ash and lava, the Dunmeri people lived. They were an organized people, even in times of chaos. Now is one of those times.

A young Dunmeri man runs into the small town of Seyda Neen. Ash, sweat, and blood covers his face. He shouts frantically at people, but they're unable to understand what he's saying. The frantic Dunmer was a fit man, but shorter then most male dark elves. One bold Dunmer man approches the frantic one.

"What's going on, Zirik?" The brave one asks. Zirik is normally calm and collective, so something must have terrified the little elf. He was a hunter, but none of his party had returned with him.

"Audret.." Zirik takes a deep breath and points towards the way out of the city. "Oblivion portal.." he starts getting hysterical again. "Fire.. death.." He almost collapses in Audret's arms. He catches the little elf and puts him back on his feet.

Audret, a taller, handsome dark elf, puts a hand on the smaller elf's shoulder. "Go get some rest, we'll handle it." Audret was once apart of the House Rederen guard, until he met a woman he fell in love with. Audret knew that one day, he'd have to protect his home and family.

If what Zirik said is true, the Audret would be going up against the Daedra of oblivion. He didn't know what Daedra he'd be up against, but he figured it would be the Daedra under the jurisdiction of Mehrunes Dagon, the Daedric Prince of destruction. Audret could be wrong, but he had a feeling he wasn't.

The guards have already assembled around the scene. "Someone get Zirik some help." One of the guards say loudly. "Anyone who's able to fight, meet us out side of town. We'll need anyone who can help if we're up against Daedra."

"I'll help." Audret says. He looks back towards his home. His wife stands in the door and shakes her head. "I have to, Nysaiah." He says in her direction.

"If you have to go," His wife, a beautiful Dunmeri woman, says. "Then I'm coming with." Audret knew his wife well enough to know that he couldn't stop her from coming, so he nodded. The pretty Dunmer walked into their house and emerged a few minutes later with two swords, and instead of in a dress, she was wearing armor. They walked out of Seyda Neen together.

Audret and Nysaia were the only people other then the guards who volunteered to investigate an apparent oblivion portal. They weren't surprised though. No one in their right mind would want to go up against Daedra.

The landscape starts to change from green trees, plants,  colorful flowers and mushrooms to fire, and decay. "Lay low." Says one of the guards, but it was too late.

Dremora fall on them like flies on a decayed corpse. The guards put up a fight, but there were more Dremora then guards. "We have to hide, there's too many!" Audret says to his wife. She didn't want to give up, but the frightened look in Audret's eyes stopped her from doing something she'd regret.

The couple ran from the Dremora. The Dremora were too busy fighting the guards to give chase after Audret and Nysaiah, but they still ran hard and fast away from them.

"Audret..." Nysaiah breathes heavily.

"Nys," Audret interrupts her. "There's nothing we could have done. The best we can do now is go back to Seyda Neen and warn everyone."

"No," Nysaiah says. "The Daedra are retreating. We have to see if anyone survived and if they did, they're going to need help."

"You're right, as always, Nys." Audret didn't want to go back, but he knew they should.

The Daedra left through the portal they entered, and closed the cursed oblivion gate behind them. Nysaiah and Audret crept out from their hiding place. Nysaiah gasps.

"The Daedra.. they killed them all.." she says when they couple approached the bodies of the guards. Audret sets his jaw and walks over to the bodies. Nysaiah watches in horror as he puts two fingers to the necks of each of the guards. After the last one, he looks to Nysaiah and shakes his head. They were all dead.

"The Daedra showed no mercy. I've heard stories of them being ruthless when it came to battle, but this... this is horrible." Then Audret grows quiet. A look of pure terror crosses his face and he pulls out a sword from a sheathe on his side.

"What is it..?" Nysaiah whispers. "More Daedra..?" She pulls out her sword as well and walks towards him.

Audret holds out a hand. "No.. but I know now that they're from the deadlands.. we're dealing with Mehrunes Dagon.." Audret starts walking towards the portal. Despite his silent message, Nysaiah follows.

Then she sees it. A little four armed creature tits on the ground where the oblivion portal once was. It wasn't crying like most children were. "Is that.. Dagon?" Nysaiah whispers.

"It looks like him but I don't think it is. Maybe one of his minions. We're going to have to kill it, Nys.." Audret starts advancing on the creature. It still doesn't see them. Audret lifts the sword above his hand and slices downwards.

"Audret, NO!" Nysaiah throws herself in front of the creature and raises her sword. The sound of metal against metal reverberated through the small clearing. Audret looks confused but scared at the same time. They both look at the creature.

The creature was now on its feet watching the two people in terror. It had weapons but it looked like it didn't know how to use them. "It's as scared of us as we are of it. Maybe even as scared as we are of Dagon. Would you seriously kill a scared little thing?"

Audret sets his jaw and doesn't sheathe his sword. "For all we know, that little thing could be Dagon in disguise."

Nysaiah sighs and puts her sword down. "Audret, do you really think Dagon is dumb enough to disguise himself as a little version of himself? This obviously isn't Dagon. Dagon isn't dumb enough to do something like that. He'd want us to be terrified of his true form, not trying to kill a small version of him." Audret nods, realizing she's right. "Now put that sword away before you hurt someone."

Audret does as Nysaiah says. "Ok, Nys. Now what do we do? We've got a minion of Dagon, and no way to get it back to the deadlands, and I'm not going through a Daedric portal to oblivion.

She looks at the creature on the ground. It looks more confused then scared now. Nysaiah picks it up. "How about we take it home?" Audret looks like he's about to argue. "What else would we do?" She says before he interrupts her. "We can't just leave it out here in this forest. We can teach it to not be a creature of destruction like Dagon would. We can teach it to be normal."

Audret thinks for a moment. "If everyone else found out, we'll be dead, and Dagon's minion as well." Audret sheaths his sword though.

"I'll talk to them. We can't just leave him here." Nysaiah starts walking back to the town, with the little daedric creature in her arms.
