Twenty-First Day(part 2)

When I got home, I threw all of my school stuff on my bed and stared at the ceiling for what felt like forever.

I wanted to call Kate but I was afraid she was going to be mad at me for disturbing her... I called her anyways.

"Kate?" I asked, worried.
"Yeah?! Who is this?"
"It's Calum... Listen I just wanted to say that I'll be here if you need help during whatever you do in the hospital."
"How did you find out about this??!!" She asked, confused.
"I asked the principal about what was wrong and he told me. I just want to know... How much until you're gone forever?"

She started crying in the phone.

"Shh... It's okay Kate. I'm here for you.." I said, trying to calm her down.
"One month...." She said.

And then it hit me. I needed to make her happy for that last month of her short life.
