The next day at school, the girl looked very pale. More than she usually did with her black hair and black makeup. I sat at her table at lunch time. She didn't talk much and kept looking around with fear in her eyes.
I saw that she had beautiful green eyes and a cute laugh-when she laughed at a kid who fell from his seat.
When school finished, I saw her walk through the gates and take a left down the road to her house I guessed back then.
But little did I know.
I looked her up on every social media that I could think of that night. But she wasn't on any. Like she didn't want anyone to know she existed.
She was hiding. But from what?
