Chapter Nineteen ~ I Just Feel So Stupid

We all stood, well Tristan Connor and James stood at one side of the swimming pool and we were racing to the other side. "Ready, Set" James said "go" he screamed and took off. Tristan ran closely behind him. I was laughing because Tristan looked like he was going to fall in straight away. 

He kept running until he reached the other side just before Connor and James. "YESS" I said punching the air. Tristan fell back in the water and we both went under. I popped back up to see the others looking upset that they lost. I laughed at them and then Tristan high fived me. 

"My god you two are definitely the perfect pair" Connor said. Once again I rolled my eyes. Will they just leave it alone, nothing is going to happen between us. 

I swam for a bit then felt like just sitting on the lounge. I went over to where I had put my things and sat down putting my sunglasses on. "Oi were getting drinks want anything?" I heard Connor say from a far. I looked at him and nodded. I could do with a light refreshment. 

Connor and brad walked off to get drinks, Ebony and James were talking in the pool and Tristan is... Gone. "Looking for me?" I heard his cute voice say from behind me. 

"Nope thought I saw Zac Efron" I said like it was actually true. 

"I'm so offended" he said holding his heart while sitting down on the lounge next to me "okay so I think I have a theory as why people think we are together all the time" 

"And what would that be?" I asked interested on his theory. 

"Well you just simply can't get away from me" he said with a slight smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. 

"Oh is that so... And what about all the times you came to me?" I said rubbing my chin. 

"Uh it's still your fault" he laughed 

"Huh how?" I exclaimed. 

"Because I'm drawn to you so it's hard to keep away" 

"Hm you see that I believe" I said with a smirk. He smiled and leaned back in the chair. "Your an idiot" I muttered but it caught it. 

"Yeah thanks" he grinned making me smile 

"So do they have a thing for each other?" I asked referring to James and Ebony. 

"I think so why? You jealous?" He asked. 

"No they look perfect for each other" I said looking at the pair of them laugh. 

"But what about you and James?" He asked. Okay so I was a little bit heartbroken because I did have a tiny crush on him but it's not Tristan. If Tristan was the one who started dating someone else then my heart would drop. 

"There was nothing going on so why should it matter" I said shrugging my shoulders. 

"Yeah but you went on a date, you held hands, you kissed doesn't that mean anything to you?" He asked why does he care so much. 

"Tris I don't see why you care" I said taking my sunglasses off and staring at him. 

"I'm just saying" he said then sighed "I guess I just don't want to see you heartbroken" 

"I'm fine honestly" I said did he have to address the issue seriously. I felt a lump in my throat. Why am I upset? Tristan called it from the start, he knew that James would just leave me heartbroken. 

I looked away from Tristan and I bit my lip trying to stop tears from falling from my eyes. "Natalie" he trailed off. "I shouldn't have said anything" 

"Tristan I'm fine" I said 

"Then look at me" 

"No"
