Tristan
We had been talking to Chantelle and Joe, planning on things that will be happening on tour when we heard phone start ringing. It didnt sound like any of our ringtones so we knew it was Natalie's. She jumped up from where she was laying and picked up the phone that was sitting on the beside table. Natalie looked at the screen on her phone then at Chantelle. Chantelle nodded at her and Natalie walked outside onto the balcony to answer the phone. I wonder who it is... Probably her boyfriend.
"Is she alright?" James asked turning to face Chantelle. She looked at him looking a little worried.
"Yeah it's just when someone from her family calls she gets really upset and has to leave the room to talk to them" she said ohhhh... well I was stupid then its not her boyfriend, she doesn't even have one, whoops I forgot.
"Oh ok" James nodded. I looked out the window and saw her wipe her eyes I wonder why she is so upset, yeah she hasn't seen them for a really long time but there has to be more to the story.
We were still getting asked questions about the tour and everything but I was really listening, I was fixed on Natalie I couldn't help but think if she was okay because she certainly didn't look okay. She had hung up the phone about eight minutes after and didnt bother coming inside she just stood there looking out to the scenery that was beyond the balcony.
"Tristan can you go ask her if she's okay?" Chantelle asked I nodded, she must have seen me watching her. I hopped off the bed and walked outside onto the balcony. I shut the door slowly but a gust of wind slammed it shut which made her jump. She turned around quickly with sadness and a hint of fear written on her face, but when I looked at her closely she had bloodshot red eyes with tears welling up. She looked at me for at least ten seconds before turning back to look at the view. All she needed was someone to comfort her and apparently that was going to be me.
I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist. "you okay?" I asked calmly, resting my head on top of her head.I was defiantly way taller then her she was only about 5'4 and I'm 6'1 so there is a huge difference.
She took in a shaky breath then sniffed before replying with "Yeah I think it's just hearing my mums voice"
"Yeah I know how it feels, how long haven't you seen them?" I asked sometimes its just good to talk, helps calm a person down. Well thats what I have heard, look I'm no therapist.
"About three months" she said now that is longer then I expected. I was not expecting her to say that.
"Wow" I said clearly surprised.
"Let me guess I have to go back inside" she asked changing the subject she couldn't go in like she was about to break apart. When I saw her face she looked like she lost someone dear to her.
"Yeah but wait don't go in there straight away" I said
"Why not" she questioned.
"Because your upset... just calm down a bit then go in nobody really cares they are only taking about thing regarding the tour" I said she nodded "okay I'll leave you then"
I was about to let go "No don't go anywhere stay with me please" she said placing her hand on top of mine intertwining her fingers with mine.
"whatever you want" I said then it went silent the only thing that I could here was her sniffling I felt extremely sorry for her.
"So my sister had her baby" she said finally breaking the silence thank goodness it was started to get awkward.
"Wow Natalie that's awesome is that why your mum called at that time?... what time is it in Australia?" I asked
