The moon was out in full affect when my eyes decided to open. Looking over to Evan's side I realized he was gone, and I laid sprawled across the entire center of the bed. I was still mercessily tired but my stiff body and dry throat pushed the idea of sleep out of my mind. Sitting up I rubbed my eyes for a minute before lightly stretching. Before my feet could even hit the ground Dorothy's frazzled body came rushing through the door.
"Hurry Miss, we need to get you dressed and downstairs." There was panic in her voice as she pushed a bundle of clothes into my hands. I couldn't even ask what I needed to go downstairs for before she spoke once again. "Rosaline now, dress, they're waiting and you can't go down in Masters shirt." Panic now resided in her eyes as well as her voice. I quickly threw off Evan's shirt and slipped into the grey sweatshirt and matching sweatpants. Without any further commentation Dorothy led me down the stairs.
Coming around towards the living room I heard Evan speaking. "Don't you think this is a bit insensitive? The ordeal just happened last night. Shouldn't you be giving my Pet time to recover?" His voice was harsh but respectful. "My apologizes Mr. Black, but the head of the council wants her side on what happened last night before they determine what to do with the assailant." An unfamiliar voice spoke. Evan was about to speak until I came into his sight. I nervously stood there rubbing my arm nervously.
A tall slender vampire stood in front of Evan. His light brown hair was neatly combed, and his baby face held the slightest amount of stubble. His eyes widened as he saw me. Clearing his throat he looked to Evan, who's eyes burned with an I dare you look and then back to me.
"Hello Rosaline. My name is Jeffery, I am part of the council, I am here to find out the details of last night. Are you alright speaking about them?" Even though he asked I knew and we all knew I didn't have much of a choice in the matter. Swallowing the lump in my throat I shook my head slightly. His eyes grew warm as he smiled slightly. He definitely wasn't as intimidating as some vampires but that didn't mean he couldn't kill me at any second if he chose to. I slowly took a few more steps into the living room. Jeffrey pointed towards the white couches. "Why don't you have a seat and we can begin."
Sitting down in the white armchair Evan made his way over to my side and stood stock still, his facial expression radiating nothing but protectiveness. Jeffrey cleared his throat before pulling a small white notepad and pen out of his suit pocket. Looking me dead in the eyes he began. "Rosaline, can you tell me the events that led up until your assault last night?" Looking towards Evan his eyes pierced into Jeffrey's.
Nodding my head nervously I looked back towards Jeffrey and began to speak. "Well we went to the ball, I arrived with Mr. Black, and was by his side for a little while before he left to go talk to some men about business I think, I didn't ask what it was for." I took a moment to collect my thoughts as Jeffrey nodded encouraging me to keep going. Looking down at my hands and back up to Jeffrey I began speaking again. "Mr. Black left to go meet up with someone like I said after he had brought me into the ballroom. I made my way over to my friend Leah, we were sold at the same auction." Jeffrey looked towards Evan's eyes questioning. "Leah is Randall's pet. The two of them often have play dates together." Jeffrey nodded. "So I was with Leah for a good portion of the night. We were eating and drinking and just enjoying ourselves along with a few other pets who were around us. Well eventually I ended up needing to go to the bathroom so Leah pointed out to where it was and I headed up the stairs towards it." Jeffrey wrote vigorously on his notepad, waving his hand in the air for me to continue. "I did my business in the bathroom and exited the bathroom and as I was making my way towards the stairs to meet back up with Leah I bumped into someone. I looked up to apologize and that's when I realized it was Luka." I took a deep breath trying to calm myself down as the night's events replayed in my mind. With a shaky voice I spoke. "When I tried to walk around him he grabbed me and covered my mouth with his hand so I couldn't scream. I tried to fight him but I very clearly failed. He dragged me into one of the rooms at the very end of the hallway and locked the door before throwing me on the bed." I began to hyperventilate as I tried to continue on with what happened. "He threw me on the bed and, and held me down. He bagan lifting up dress and he." I stopped talking as tears began to pour from my eyes.
Evan placed his hand on my shoulder as I bent my head down in shame at the events that happened. "I think she's had enough. You have all the information you need correct?" Jeffrey looked as if he wanted to protest but Evan's eyes were out for death if he did. Nodding his head he quickly collected his notepad and pen and stood from the couch. "Pet you are free to go up to your room now." I didn't say a word. I felt like I was suffocating. I darted out of that room and up the stairs as quickly as I could. Only looking back once to see Evan speaking to Jeffrey as Jeffrey continued to write notes in his notepad once again. Will this nightmare ever end?
