-Pippa -
-1973-
I stood in the kitchen making breakfast, as I did almost every morning before I tried to set about making this place more tidy. I heard small thundering footsteps then a giggle.
"Mommy!" I turned to my daughter, Lizzie and grinned at her.
"Morning sweetie. Did you have a nice sleep?" I ask lifting the five year old onto my hip. she nodded vigorously.
"I did, and I went to wake up Uncle Charlie but he's grumpy again." she pouted
"He's always grumpy sweetie, nothing personal. Now why don't you go back up and tell him that if he doesn't come down I will light his Bum on fire. Okay?" she giggled and I let her down she ran back out as I continued to make breakfast. I then felt a pair of arms wrap around me.
"Morning." I grin.
"Good Morning." Hank kissed my cheek as I slid out to plate up everything
"I will have to go out at some point for more groceries." I then glance back at him "So I will be taking the car."
"Okay." he went to take a rash of bacon but I slapped his hand away
"When we're all together. Now go help Lizzie get my brother out of bed." I shoed him off and he did as I asked. 10 minutes later all three entered and sat themselves down and I laid the food out before them.
"Charles." I greeted kissing his head as I gave him his breakfast.
"Pippa, why must you send Lizzie with your threats to burn me." he huffed
"Because we're the two women you can't say no to. Isn't that right Lizzie?" she looked up from scoffing her food "Lizzie, chew your food you eat just like your father." I glance at Hank who had bacon hanging out of his mouth they looked to one another and then at me making me roll my eyes.
I then sat down and began to eat. It was silent as it always is for the most part. Lizzie makes small conversation.
"Mommy, I have pictures to send to Uncle Alex." she tells me
"Okay sweetie, I will see where he is and we'll send them off to him, this afternoon." I answer. Once breakfast is done, Hank and Lizzie clear up as I take Charles back to his room.
"Still maintaining your gifts are a curse?" I ask helping him lay down
"Still asking the same question after years of asking the same question." he groaned laying back down
"That's because I am your conscience and common sense, Charles. I will ask it till I'm blue in the face or till the answer changes." I kissed his cheek and left him to rest.

Lizzie and I went out for groceries and when we came back I could tell something was off. I dropped my bags down. at the front door and created a fireball with one hand while using air to blast the doors open. I saw Hank and Charles with a man,
"Intruder!" I yelled sending a fireball at him he flew back and grunted in pain.
"Philippa! Friend not Foe! Friend not Foe!" he yelled in pain and I stopped. He dragged himself up "I'm a friend, I swear." he held out his hand "Read me, you'll see that I'm not lying. Go on."
"Mommy." I heard the scared voice of my daughter and I relaxed
"Got to Daddy." she ran over and he lifted her up. I slowly made my way over as Charles retreated into the study. I reached out and took his hand gasping as I read his very long life. But he was different it didn't stop at present day. I watched as his journey continued past present day and on another 50 years. The love, pain, doubt, loneliness, bloodshed."
"Oh my god." I stumbled back covering my mouth in shock
"Pip, what did you see?" Hank asked
"Death, so much death. near extinction. A world full of hate and lost hope. A faction with a spark hoping to ignite. You are here to change it, aren't you?" I breathed
"I am, I need your help, I was told that you would be my ally, will you?" he wonders and I nodded
"Yes, yes I will."
"Just like that?" I nodded
"You have a good heart Logan." my head tilted slightly "Even if you are rough around the edges, he trusts you whole heartedly and so will I." I answered seeing a older version of my brother reunited with his gift to continue to be the man I know him to be.
"Follow me. You can explain everything to them. Lizzie, got to your room while your father, Uncle Charlie and I talk with Logan." she nodded warily as Hank let her down and she ran off
"I didn't know you had kid Beast. Learn something new everyday." I heard as I walked in. I decided not to ask him about it, there was purpose to his visit so we should stick with that.
"Charles, sit your ass down and listen to him." he glared at me "Now." I order. He sighed and parked it. I then nodded to Logan before standing with Hank who had gone from beast to non beast. Logan began to explain what happened. Charles look towards us before standing and pouring himself a drink.
"So your saying the took Raven's power, and what? Weaponised it?" Charles questioned
"Well she is unique." I commented leaning my head on Hank's shoulder, he kissed my head.
"That she is Pippa." he gave me a small smile.
"In the beginning the Sentinels were just targeting mutants. Then they began to identify the genetics in non mutants who would eventually have mutant children and grandchildren. Many of the humans tried to help us, but it was a slaughter leaving only the worst of humanity in charge." Logan explained "I've been in a lot of wars. I've never seen anything like this. And it all starts with her."
"Let's just say for the sake of..."
"Charles." I warn
"For the sake of Pippa's sanity I choose to believe you. That I chose to believe you, that I chose to help you. Raven won't listen to me. Her heart and soul belong to someone else now." Charles replied
"I know." Logan stood up "That's why we're gonna need Magneto, too." Logan stated. Charles laughed and I looked to see Hank confused
"Erik? You do know where he is?" Hank questioned
"Yeah." Charles was full on laughing now. I sighed in annoyance and leaned back in my chair as my brother stood up.
"He's where he belongs." Charles replied with heaps of venom.
"So your just gonna walk out?" Logan retorted
"Oh top marks. Like I said, you are perceptive." Charles pointed to him as he went to leave.
"The professor I knew would never turn their back on someone who'd lost their path." Logan called "Especially someone he loved." Charles stopped and turned to come back
"You know. I think I do remember you now. Yeah, we came to you a long time ago seeking your help. I'm going to say to you what you said to us then. Fuck off." Logan grabbed him and I jumped up.
"Listen to me you little shit. I've come a long way and I've watched a lot of people die. Good people, friends. If you wanna follow in self pity then you're gonna watch the same thing, you understand." he then leant in closer and whispered something in his ear. I saw Charles tear up and look at me before he was let go. Charles looked back to Logan
"We all have to die sometime." Charles left.
"I told you there was no professor here." Hank stated
"What the hell happened to him?"
"You tell him, I'm going to check on Lizzie." Hank nodded and
