Hank opened the doors to his office which was crammed with the latest technology.

"I set the system I designed to record any news about Paris over all three networks and PBS." he told us as we entered he took out a seat and sat down

"All three. Wow." Logan snarked

"And PBS." Hank Added

"Sweetheart I don't think that what Logan had in mind when he spoke. Tell us what you found." I rested my hand on his shoulder he switched to what he recorded

'Tomorrow in front of the White House the president will make his announcement. He will be joined by secretary of defence Laird and has even caught the help of renowned scientist Bolivar Trask, his special advisor to combat this mutant issue.' the reporter stated

"Mutant issue, we're not the issue that idiot is. I can't believe Trask has the President convinced that we're a threat." I huff in annoyance

"Raven doesn't realise that id she kills Trask at an event like that with the whole world watching...." Charles begins

"Then I came a long way for nothing." Logan finishes

"You won't, we'll stop her. We'll change the future it's just a little harder than expected is all." I assure

"There's more bad news. I read a report that they found traces of her blood in Paris, for all we know they have her DNA." Hank stated and I saw the men look defeated

"Traces are nothing." I state "They're minuscule, to create the monsters of the future they would need a lot more than a trace, we still have hope. They don't have her or access to her."

"What do you mean?" Logan wondered

"They would need, blood, brain tissue, bone marrow a unlimited access to Raven to study her, what she left behind was a speck of information and as long as we stop Raven and keep them away from her, that future will not exist." I inform them

"There is a theory in Quantum physics that time is immutable. It's like a river, you can throw a pebble into it and create a ripple but the current always corrects itself. No matter what you do the river just keeps flowing in the same direction." Hank spoke

"What are you trying to say?" Logan asked

"What I'm saying is, what if the war is inevitable? What if she's meant to kill Trask. What if this is just simply who she is." Hank answered

"I refuse to believe that, and neither should you. We let her go once and this is where she ended up. I for one I'm not failing her again." I storm out of the room and go into mine and Hank's room. I lay on the bed in silence staring at the picture of Charles, Raven and I a year after I joined them. We were happy.

"I'm sorry." I heard Hank apologise. He came in and joined me on the bed

"She can't be evil Hank, she can't because if she can be evil, what does that say about me? About any of us who worked so hard to be good to fight for good." my voice broke and he brought me into a hug

"I can't lose her again, Hank. She and Charles were the first ones to make me feel safe and loved. They were my first home, they taught me everything today. Before you and Lizzie. Before the school and x-men it was us and I can't let it go."

"You won't." he whispered "You won't."

I must have fallen asleep because I woke up and I was laid out on the plane. I groaned sitting up and rubbing my eyes.

"Are you alright now Pippa?" Charles questioned

"Yeah, peachy." I grumbled. "What have I missed?" I yawn pulling myself around
