"Soo how did you get sent here Naka?" Hye Jo asked Nakazato, eyes fixated on the road as he was focused on driving.
"Got into a crash but no casualties. still got sent here, though." Nakazato replied, all without giving a single look. Right now he doesn't want to talk with anyone. Still, he couldn't force himself to go silent for the entire drive - nearly an hour long.
Hye Jo hummed, then raised one of his eyebrows at Nakazato's reply "No casualties? Must've been lucky for you huh. Did you suffer any injuries?"
"Nope, just a headache. The worst one was my car. He suffered too much." Nakazato remembered what happened that night, A flash of light around a bend, and a Silver car appeared out of nowhere and slammed its head into his rear bumper.
"What happened to your car? If I may ask?"
"Wrecked. The spoiler flew, the body had a lot of scratches due to hitting the guard rails, a broken headlights, and the rear bumper had a large dent on it."
"Oh... so sorry to hear that Naka."
"I don't need your apology. if there's someone who should be sorry it's the stupid person who crashed into me and got away. Father won't even let me pursue the case with the police and sent me here straight away."
The ride suddenly fell into an awkward silence, and Hye Jo felt guilty for bringing up Nakazato's bad accident.
"I-I'm just gonna take a rest. Wake me up when we get there Hye Jo." Nakazato then put on his earphones and tried to sleep, Hye Jo sighed, steering himself for another long evening drive in the company of his own solitude.
Meanwhile,Tokyo, Japan.
"Reina you need to stop working on that stupid case, I mean look at you. You look like someone who just broke up with her boyfriend." A man said to Reina offering a cup of coffee. Reina then looked up from her table, receiving the coffee with thanks.
"It's not just a stupid case Kijima-san. My friend almost got killed by a random person and I'm not letting it go easily."
"You mean your boyfriend? You seemed to care so much for him."
Reina glared at her partner. "Well he's not my boyfriend and I cared so much for him because he's my friend. Now if you don't have any business with me, please leave me alone."
"Eugh whatever, if you need me I'll be downstairs." Kijima left Reina alone with her thoughts.
'Stupid case, he said' Reina then looked to one of the picture on the table. The picture was Nakazato and Reina both in their graduation robes holding their hats formally for the photo they took.
'I'll find out who did this to you Nakazato. I'll make sure they face the truth.' Reina's fists clenched. She was about to burst out in a fury but her phone stopped her from turning into an ogre. She looked at her phone to see Tatsuya, the man who chased the culprit on a black Porsche but unfortunately, the culprit managed to run away.
"Tatsu you finally called. Where have you been? I've tried to call you a bunch of times after the accident."
"I've been pretty busy, look you want to know where the driver headed right?"
Tatsuya replied to Reina giving her information about the culprit."Oh you knew?!" Reina slammed her desk hard, earning a look from her colleagues. "I mean um please tell me."
"After the accident I tried to go ahead of him and tried to slow him down, heck I even tried to get him to pull over by pumping my brakes in front of him - but that crazy lunatic only pressured me to go faster. Had I gone any slower, he would have tailgated me like he did to Nakazato. " Tatsuya then continued his talk, "I decided to follow him through the highway where I thought he would've gone straight to Wangan. But instead he took a left turn to the C1 area, and back then I was moving too fast so if I tried to force my car to turn I would've flown."
