Yuki was currently at the guildhall, much to her boyfriends protests. Especially since he wasn't going to be there with her. Yet she couldn't avoid it forever. She is a mage, she has to take jobs and FairyTail is her home. And just because Natsu has been an unstable shit didn't mean she was going to run away from it. It was also one of the few steps that was needed for her to get over what had happened to her and what almost happened to Lucy a few days ago. Taking a deep breath she soon found herself in front of the job board. While she usually would have taken a job from the second floor, she decided that she needed to take it easy.
However before she could pull one down did she hear her name. "Yukina?" Turning her head she stiffened slightly as she saw it was none other then Erza Scarlet. "Did you need something Erza?" The re-quip mage was silent for a moment before she spoke. "Wanted to see how you were. Natsu is currently being checked on Porcylia. And I was wondering where your team was." She shrugged. She had to admit she was curious about what happened to the idiot but a good part of her didn't care. "My team is busy. We have lives thank you. Before you ask another stupid question, I am taking a simple job. I was already gone for an entire year and if I pull that stunt again my team may very well track me down just to kick my ass."
She blinked completely taken aback. What had caused such a closed off response? "I wasn't here the day Natsu attacked....you realize neither Gray nor myself ever wanted you to get hurt. We tried to stop him." "I know, I'm just really on edge being here by myself. However hearing that Natsu is not here is more then reason enough to calm down a bit." She knew that Erza felt bad. Fuck she knew that Gray felt bad. Because the day she woke up Erza had latched onto the woman sobbing something awful. It took a hell of of persuasion, and strawberry cake to even get the woman off of her.
Erza studied her for a moment before picking her next words carefully. "Are you really doing okay? You've been off..." Yuki sighed as she pulled down the job she was after. A simple job of capturing some bandits that were rampaging on the neighboring town. "I'm fine, better then I was." She nodded. "That's good. Did you need any assistance? I know we're both S class but company is always appreciated." Yuki was silent for a moment. Like she was really debating on her reply. That's when she saw Wendy and wrapped an arm around the young dragon slayer. "No need Erza, I'm gonna take Wendy here." Erza was confused and so was Wendy. However it was Carla who spoke. "Yes, we already agreed to travel with her. Didn't we Wendy?"
Wendy however was confused but seeing the look Carla's face she knew she had to play along. "Oh yeah, she spoke to me about it last night. I had gone to see her to make sure her arm was okay." Erza blinked once more. "Oh right, I heard it was broken. It's better now?" "Yes, Wendy gave me a clean bill of health last night." "I could still tag along. It's been a long time since we worked together." And indeed it had been. It had been 5 almost 6 years since she worked with anyone from Team Natsu. "Not this time Erza, you look tired and honestly as if you're favoring your left leg."
Black eyes widened at the sudden observation. How did she see that? "It's nothing Yuki, I pulled a muscle last night and it's sore." Wendy blinked, "did you need me to look at it?" "Hm, oh no Wendy it's fine. I figured some light exercise would be a good idea." Yuki frowned. It wasn't like Erza to be so careless. "What did you do?" She looked embarrassed at the question. "I tripped over some armor. I was cleaning my swords and forgot one or several were on my floor and I fell." Yuki wanted to face palm but simply resisted. "But you're right, I should be resting." Yuki nodded but before Erza left she stopped.
"I hope Lucy is okay. Do you know if she's coming back to the team?" Yuki sighed. "She's okay, I didn't let her get hurt. As for her coming back I'm going to say no. But I'm unsure. Feel better Erza." The red haired woman nodded and soon walked away. The second she was out of sight did Yuki finally let poor Wendy go and sighed. "Sorry about that Wendy." "Hm, oh no! Don't be sorry. Do you really wanna take this job with me though?" Yuki thought about it for a moment before smiling a bit. "Yeah, might as well. We already told Erza you were coming. It would also be fun in a way." Wendy simply smiled before agreeing. "When do we leave?" "In a few hours, meet me at the train station. I have to get some clothes and tell my team I won't be home." Wendy nodded and soon left with Carla right behind her.
Taking a deep breath the heavens hell mage walked over to the bar and waited for Mira to walk over to her. "Yuki, is everything okay?" "Yeah Mira, taking a job involving getting rid of some bandits. However." Mira raised an eyebrow at this. "I am taking Wendy with me. Erza wanted to come but..." Mira nodded. She knew it would be hard for her to adjust to being around Erza and Gray again. She also didn't blame her, she couldn't blame her. The past she had with those two was not the best and even though they tried helping, the damage had been done. "Alright. How long will you both be gone for?"
The heavens hell mage chewed on her lower lip for a moment as she thought it over. "I'd say a week." Mira nodded as she filed away the job but let her keep the flyer. "Alright, I'll see you both in a weeks time." And with that Yuki nodded and turned on her heel once again leaning the guild behind her. Because now she had to pack a bag, and somehow tell her team she was leaving and taking someone that wasn't them, and make sure Bickslow didn't somehow slip up about them being a relationship. So with a sigh she mumbled to herself. "Insanity, here I come." And with that she turned and headed back home.
