⭒☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆⭒ I decided that we had to get information. And the only way to get that info is to talk to Hagrid. Y/N had been upset ever since I saw her. I fancy her a lot, but she's one of my best friends I can't ruin our friendship with this. Not to mention we are way to young. But I can't worry about this right now I have to find my invisibility cloak and meet Y/N downstairs.
"Ron" I whispered "Ron wake up."
His eyes were barley open and then went wide remembering what we are about to do. We are surrounded by boy snores all around us. We kept as quiet as possible as we put ourselves under the invisibility cloak. We quietly opened the door and closed it back up and went downstairs. We knocked on Y/N's door. She opened the door with an emotionless face. She wasn't the happy, sarcastic, person I knew. Her face was pale and her eyes weren't shining much anymore.
"Y/N Cmon let's go." Ron whispered. She nodded and went under the cloak with us. She barely talked on the way to Hagrid's with only nods and humming of yes or no. Must be obviously about Hermione. Finally we were outside the castle. Still no talking from Y/N but all I hear behind me is Ron trying to comfort her. Her face now back to her normal color is all coming back.
After walking for awhile we made it to Hagrid's hut. We took off the cloak and we knocked on the door to see him with a crossbow in hand. Fang looking at us excited to see us once again. I point to the crossbow. "What's that for?" I said
"Nothin', nothin'. I've been expectin'... Doesn't matter." Hagrid let us in his hut where we stood there. "Sit down... I'll make tea..." he said taking out the kettle. "Are you okay? Hagrid? Did you hear about Hermione?" I asked.
"Oh, yea. I heard, all righ'."
"Look... we have to ask you something." Hagrid looked at us in confusion "Do you know who's opened the Chamber of Secrets?"
He was grabbing a type of fruit cake when a loud knock came through the door. He dropped the cake immediately while all of us tried to hide under the cloak. Hagrid opens the door either once again his crossbow in hand. "C-come in" Hagrid said nervously. He opens the door to see Dumbledore. followed by a portly man in a pin-stripe suit and bowler. Y/N looked confused. "Good evening, Hagrid."
Ron whispered to us. "That's Dad's boss! Cornelius Fudge. The Minister of Magic!" I saw Y/N elbow him for him to shut up. We continue to listen as I pay more attention Fudge.
"Bad business, Hagrid. Very bad business. Had to come. Four attacks on Muggle-borns. Things've gone far enough. Ministry's got to act." He said
"I never... You know I never, Professor Dumbledore, sir..." Hagrid pleaded
"I want it understood, Cornelius,that Hagrid has my full confidence." Dumbledore tried to defend Hagrid in some way. But it didn't work.
"Look, Albus, Hagrid's record's against him. I've got to take him." My eyes widened. I didn't dare to look back at the others who were worried as well.
"Take me? Where? Not Azkaban prison." I heard a small 'please no' behind me. To see Ron comfortingY/N. I've never seen her like this before, she was always happy and eyes glimmering. Seeing her like this makes me think it's my fault.
"For a short stretch only. Not a punishment, Hagrid. More a precaution. If someone else is caught, you'll be released with a full apology." Said Fudge.
Then a sharp knock at the door. We all jumped. Once the door opened an immediate white color flashes. Turns out it was Lucius Malfoy. Stepping inside.
"Already here, Fudge? Good, good..."
"What're you doin' here! Get outta my house!"
"My dear man, please believe me, I have no pleasure at all in being inside your -- do you call this a house? I simply called at the school and was told the Headmaster was here." Lucius said .
"And what exactly did you want with me, Lucius?" Dumbledore asked
"Dreadful thing, Dumbledore, but the governors feel it's time for you to step aside. This is an Order of Suspension. You'll find all twelve signatures on it. I'm afraid we feel you're losing your touch. What with all these attacks, there'll be no Muggle-borns left at Hogwarts. And we all know what an awful loss that would be."
Lucius hands Dumbledore a roll parchments. Fudge thankfully speaks up.
"Now, see here, Lucius. Dumbledore suspended. No, no... last thing we want right now... If Dumbledore can't stop these attacks... I mean to say, who can?"
"That remains to be seen, but as all twelve governors have voted --" Lucius was interrupted by Hagrid
"An' how many did yeh have ter threaten before they agreed!" He shouted
"I would advise you not to shout at the Azkaban guards like that."
"Yeh can take Dumbledore! Take him away an' the Muggle-borns won't stand a chance! There'll be killin's next!" Hagrid shot back
"Calm yourself, Hagrid! If the governors want my removal, Lucius, I shall of course step aside. However... you will find that I will only truly have left this school when none here are loyal to me. You will also find that help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who... ask for it."
Dumbledore's eyes looked at our direction. Exactly where we are.
"Admirable sentiments. We shall all miss your highly individual way of running things, Albus, and only hope your successor will manage to prevent any more, um, killin's. Dumbledore may we speak outside privately." He said as he walked out the door. Everyone leaves except for Hagrid and us. All of us were still underneath to hear what Lucius has to say.
"What do you need from me Lucius?"
"Well when they come of age my son would your daughter's hand in marriage."
What... I almost choked. Y/N was listening every word. She was afraid it was my turn to comfort her. Y/N and I went to the window to hear better. She started hugging my arm in comfort.
"And why is that?" "Well simple she is one of the top students here along with her blood status being pure. My son may be Slytherin but what from my son has told me about her, she seems to have some Slytherin blood in her. They continued the family bloodline."
"I'm sorry Lucius I'm going to have to think about this and discuss it with her. She is young but I have taught her well for her to learn how to love."
Lucius rolled his eyes and walked away.
"I'm going to marry Draco..." "Y/N he is going to discuss it with you." I said
"Y/N he's right you must have consent and I know Dumbledore. He would never force someone." Hagrid said
"I'm going back to the dormitory I have to much on my mind right now." She said with no emotion. She went alone didn't hear from her since then.
