CHAT smiles at the fragile girl that was resting her head ever so peacefully on his shoulder. The smell of vanilla wafted from her tightly curled body. Her beautiful raven hair had fallen around her face. Her button nose twitched in her sleep. Her mouth was parted slightly as she let out quiet breaths. The trip had taken them to the next day as it was a 13 hour non-stop flight. Chat stayed awake the whole time determined to keep the frightened Princess safe.

"Princess" he whispers softly brushing a stray hair from her face "Princess," he says again softly shaking her awake "we're here"

Marinette groans softly "5 more minutes"

"But we're already at the castle, you can sleep more when you get to your room," Chat says chuckling softly

"Castle?" she says the word in Mandarin, still not opening her eyes the word settled in her mind for a few quick seconds "MOM" she whips her head up opening her eyes fast flinching from the sunlight that was pouring into the jet enveloping them in a warm blanket of light "w-where-" then it all came back, her mom...grandmother had betrayed her, she was going to an unknown country where the only things she knew was their language and a strange cat superhero as her bodyguard.

"Woah Woah Princess...Marinette calm down it's ok" Chat says placing his hand over hers trying to calm down her heaving chest and steady her breathing "sh sh sh it's okay Marinette I'm here" he pulls her into a warm embrace "I'm here"

Tears escape Marinette eyes as she buries her face in Chat's shoulder "I don't want to go" she sobs "i-i cant"

"Marinette, you have to, if you want I'm pretty sure your mother will allow you to retire to your room as soon as you get inside"

"she's not my mother," Marinette says slightly pulling away

Chat pulls her closer "I know I know I'm sorry but can you please come with me, I can escort you to your room and stay with you as long as you would like me to"

Marinette sniffles "o-ok" she pulls away wiping her tear-stained face

"Did you know that you were speaking Mandarin for a good 5 minutes" Chat points out chuckling a bit

"You understood me?"

Chat nods "I took Chinese for almost my whole life"

Marinette chuckles "of course you did"

"What's that supposed to mean" Chat says furrowing his eyebrows

"Nothing nothing" she waves him off

Chat rolls his eyes "Are you ready Marinette?"

She nods slightly, taking Chat's hand and allowing him to lead her to the castle gates. The wind was more furious here as it whipped across her fair skin. She shivers crossing her arms over her chest. Chat places his hands on both of her arms from behind her, moving them up and down fast to cause enough friction to warm her up. "th-thank you" the castle gates open as the royal guards dipped their heads into bows in respect for the Princess and Chat Noir.

"PRINCESS YOU'RE HERE," a woman about her age calls out running towards her

She had terra-cotta skin that shone with every stride she took. She was wearing an orange floor-length dress that she was now holding up to reveal bare feet as she was running to her. When she finally reached Marinette she could finally see a close-up of her beautiful features. She had perfectly tweezed eyebrows and a little mole that sat above her right eyebrow. She had glasses that sat on the brim of her nose and her perfectly glossed lips were heart-shaped and full. She was beautiful so it didn't surprise Marinette when a voice called out from behind the beautiful woman.

"BABE, YOU CAN'T JUST BOMBARD THE PRINCESS SHE JUST GOT HERE"

The man was extremely good-looking and was wearing a light green dress shirt that was slightly untucked. He was wearing dark green dress pants that stopped at the ankle and white converse. He had a pair of headphones around his neck and closely cropped hair.

The woman rolls her eyes and turns toward the voice placing her hand on her hip.

"Don't babe me, you still haven't properly apologized for turning your back to face me in bed" she says with sass "and I was saying hello to our Princess" She turns her attention back to Marinette who had practically shrunken into Chat's chest in the presence of the beautifully intimidating woman. His hands were still on her arms and he had a smirk plastered on his face.

"I think you might've frightened the princess a bit Alya," Chat says with a hearty chuckle

"oh!" she covers her mouth "I- um sorry Princess" she dipped her head into a bow

"Please don't call me that" Marinette whispers looking down

"Hm?" Alya say lifting her head

"I- um don't want to be called Princess"

"Oh" Alya looks at her surprise written on her face "What would you like to be called?"

"M-Marinette"

"Marinette? ok girl I got you" Alya winks "YOU HEAR THAT DICKHEAD SHE WANTS TO BE CALLED MARINETTE NOT PRINCESS" Ayla yells at the man who was leaning against the massive castle door entrance

"DON'T SWEAR IN FRONT OF THE PRINCESS" the man yells back

"WHAT DID I JUST SAY NINO, TELL ME WHAT THE HELL I JUST SAID, " Alya yells stomping towards Nino

"SORRY SORRY I MEANT MARINETTE" he calls out

Ayla reaches Nino and grabs his ear so he can bend down her height, she drags him inside murmuring a string of curse words

Marinette can't help but giggle a bit. She finally steps away from Chat and towards the castle. He was hesitant to let her go but walks closely behind her instead. They finally reach the entrance and Marinette takes a deep breath as mixed emotions wave through her. Betrayal, Bitterness, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and...a weird feeling of safety. She turns toward's Chat her one and only friend in her new and forced environment. He nods giving her the courage to walk through the doors towards her new life.
