Im currently sat next to a drunk guy who will not stop talking to me. Every time I attempt to smile and nod as he talks, trying to avoid making further conversation. He keeps on going, he went on to tell me about his night, how beautiful I was, and he even went on to tell me about boring secretary job that helped him to afford things, like his two year old chihuahua named teddy.
Now at this point, Im overly annoyed, the reason I came out tonight was because I was ready to mingle and maybe find someone to hook up with. But now I'm left with some talkative guy at the bar, who can't seem to understand the concept of wanting to be alone.
It has been months, so screw me if I wanted to have some fun tonight.
But so far I've only met drunk annoying men who hump anything that breathes and a guy who can't stop talking about his dog. And this sadly is the most exciting thing I've done this week.
Yeah, my life has really come to this.
"Where did you say you were from again?" The man next to me asks. Signaling the bartender to get him another drink. The bartender shakes his head, and I can tell he's had way too many drinks.
I turned back around to him. "I didn't" I down my second shot of the night and scanned around the room.
He lets out a loud and playful groan "Oh, I think I should—maybe stop drinking now" he puts down the drink, and I nod agreeing he should stop.
"But seriously where are you from? I've never seen you at this bar, and I practically come here every night" he awkwardly laughs standing up from his seat.
Oh boy, definitely my luck.
"Not from around here," I say without any further explanation.
"Would you like to dance" he attempts to grab my shoulder aggressively, but I shrug him off. "Oh, no thanks but have fun out there!" I attempt to shut him down turning right back to the bar. But he doesn't stop.
"Please" he slurs. Shaking me back and forth, with a begging look on his face. He doesn't take no for an answer, does he?
I sigh and nod my head in defiance. He smiles and leads me into the crowd with a bunch of "Let's dance" he shouts.
He sways back and forth motioning for me to dance with him. I look around the crowd to see a bunch of sweaty people. All grinding up against each other, and making out, they are playing a cool rock song I don't recognize. The drunk man starts pulling me closer, making me even more uncomfortable. Pulling me to dance in front of him, I push him away, and start to dance by myself. Seeing as he just stops trying and dances by himself as well.
Nobody around me looks comfortable enough to dance with and I'm already feeling uncomfortable, there's a weird feeling that I feel from in this room, You know that feeling when you know someone is watching you. Well, I feel that right now, I turn around looking for anyone. Until I see a man staring directly at me across the room.
He is sitting on a chair, with a couple of girls around him. One sitting on his lap, and two kissing his neck. But he seems uninterested since he's looking directly at me.
