The next morning Deagan is awakened by a pounding headache. Opening her eyes, she notices that Chase's lips are against her forehead, the covers are down over their hips and his arm around her. She moves a little, trying not to wake him.

"Hey," Chase groans a little and then stretches, smiling.

          "Umm hey, we didn't...you...know...did we?"

"No nothing happened, don't worry," Chase says sitting up and rubbing his eyes.

"Okay," placing her hand on her head, her head pounding.

"Coffee and some Advil?" Chase asks.

"Umm yes, that would be great."

"Sure I'll be right back," Chase says standing up still in his clothes from the night before.

Chase heads downstairs, Deagan looking around his room. There are a lot of pictures hanging up, a guitar in the corner. Also, looking over at his open closet, she sees what seems to be some type of military uniforms and work clothes. After checking out her surroundings, also still in her clothes from the night before, her boots by the door she still can't believe they slept in the same bed. Deagan looks up a few minutes later, watching Chase step through the door. Carrying a couple of coffee mugs and a bottle of Advil, handing a cup to Deagan.

"Your friend is still passed out, and your brother is passed out on my hammock."

"Who else is here?" Deagan asks taking two Advil.

"My sister and a couple of other people. They're in the other rooms."

"I don't even really remember how I got here last night," Deagan says leaning back.

Refreshing her memory, "Well you and your friend wanted me to sleep in here with you both. She passed out on the couch, and I carried you up here because I wasn't sure how you'd do with the stairs, then we passed out."

"Well, then I guess I should thank you for taking care of me."

"You don't have to thank me, it was nothing," Chase smiles.

For the next few years, Deagan and Chase hit it off, beginning a relationship. But, with things between them getting pretty serious, Deagan can't help but feel Chase move faster than her. The most nerve-wracking thing that freaks Deagan out is when Chase pulls out the three-worded phrase, "I love you."

With her being freaked out she hardly says it back, causing concern for their relationship. The reason she doesn't say it is because Deagan does not want to get attached since she is still determined to move as soon as she graduates from college. Chase tries to convince her many times over not to leave, even throwing out the getting married card. But Deagan doesn't take it. But, with the fast-moving year's everything is going to change for everyone involved drastically, hopefully, everyone can handle it.
