The next morning comes around, Deagan taking the opportunity to get in the shower while Chase is asleep. Getting out about ten minutes later, she wraps the towel around her and begins to dry her hair. Looking at herself in the mirror, sliding the comb through her long brown hair not knowing Chase is waking up. After drying her hair she moves to her makeup bag, getting ready still wrapped in her towel.

"Good morning," Chase says entering the bathroom, sliding his arms around her.

"Morning. How did you sleep?" looking at him in the mirror.

"I slept wonderfully, how did you sleep?"

          "Perfect," Deagan smiles.

          "Good," kissing her shoulder.

"You still going with me?" putting her makeup away.

          "Yes, I certainly am."

"Okay well, Corrine and the car will be here in about thirty minutes."

"Alright, I ordered some food, it should be here any minute."

          "Aww, you did? You're sweet."

"Yeah of course I did," Chase says just as there is a knock on the door. Chase walks out to get the food.

Walking out of the bathroom, she pulls on some underwear, sweatpants, a bra and tank top, Chase setting the food on the table.

"You are so sexy," Chase says.

"The fact that you are watching me get dressed makes you a creep," Deagan smiles.

"I like watching you get dressed. It's very sexy."

"How is that even sexy?" Deagan asks, pulling her hair in a ponytail.

"It's the way you move," Chase winks, taking a sip of his coffee.

Deagan can't help but laugh with Chase's comment as she then walks back over to Chase sitting down beside him and begins to eat herself.

"Do you remember when I came home, and Troy was with me?"

"Yes," Chase nods his head, taking a bite.

"And how we didn't eat my mom's breakfast because I was on a stupid special diet?"

          "Yes," Chase laughs a little.

           "Yeah, I was an idiot."

          "Oh yeah. I knew that."

          "Excuse me?"

"You were an idiot. I think I pretty much told you that when you were here," Chase smiles.

"I don't even know what I saw in that guy."

"Me either," leaning over and kissing her softly.

"Of course you thought that. That guy was dating your ex-girlfriend. Nobody compares to you in your eyes," winking at him.

"No, he was a dick to your family and treated you like shit too."

"He asked me to marry him. Did I tell you that?" Deagan confesses.

          "No, you didn't."

"Probably because I didn't tell anyone."

           "Why not?" Chase asks.

"I didn't want my parents to be disappointed you know? Because at the time I was in love with him, and I knew things between you and I were no longer there, and he proposed, and I said yes. I look back at it now, and I only said yes because I was settling."

           "You said yes?"

          "Yeah."

"I didn't think you dated him after what happened."

"Yeah, my as you would quote 'idiot self' went back because I thought he meant what he said and we dated for a year again, and it was great. Then he proposed, and I said yes."

"What about that day when I walked into your place, and you and him making out almost killed me. It took every once of me to let you go."

Deagan sighs, trying not to remember that. "We were engaged six months."

"I can't believe you stayed with him after all of that."

"Because I felt like I had to," Deagan sighs, looking down at her food.

           "Okay."

Deagan looks at him for a few more minutes as he continues to eat. She gets up, digging through her purse. After digging the picture out, she walks back over handing it to Chase.

"You have a kid with him?" Chase asks, the picture of Troy and Deagan at the hospital, baby in her arms.

"I did have a kid with him."

          "And what happened?"

"She uh," Deagan stutters, looking down at her hands.

           "She what?"

"The cord wrapped around her neck and by the time they caught it, it already killed her," blinking her eyes a few times. "Ugh I don't want to cry I'll ruin my makeup," dabbing at her eyes.

"Deagan I'm sorry," wiping her eyes for her.

          "It's okay really."

"It's okay to cry about it you know?"

"I have no tears left trust me."

Chase leans in, lightly kissing her on the lips, "I love you more than anything."

"I love you too. Troy blamed me for our daughter's death because he said I didn't take care of myself and he called off the engagement."

"Deagan it wasn't your fault," slowly running his thumb along her cheek.

"I know it wasn't. I just laughed in his face."

"That's my girl," Chase smiles, kissing her again.

"We better clean up a little."
