I'm changing a part in the story a little bit instead of all this time since before you lost bucky you've known Steve. You Steve and bucky have best friends for forever.

You and Bucky leave the compound and go on a walk to actually talk about your relationship and feelings.
Bucky: your awfully quiet for someone who wanted to go on this walk
Y/n: yeah sorry I- I just don't know what to say or how to word it.... Bucky I-
Bucky: before you say anything I need you to know this and I'm sorry I'm telling you now but I love you
Y/n: what?
Bucky: I know I'm sorry I have loved you ever since I got close to you and me you and Steve became close and all best friends.
Y/n: you love me?
Bucky: yes I'm sorry I haven't told you before it's just I thought you never felt the same
Y/n: so why tell me now
Bucky: because I'm tired of waiting to see if you felt the same so I'm just saying it now.
Y/n: oh bucky-
*your cut off by him talking over you*
Bucky: it's probably too late anyway because you could possibly get back to together with Steve.
Y/n: Bucky are you listening to me
Bucky: yes you have all of my attention
Y/n; I feel the same way i just never told you either
Bucky gets excited and his mood changes to being really happy and you could definitely tell. So kisses you out of excitement
Y/n: I have to tell you something else
Bucky: yes
Y/n: I don't want to be in any relationship right now I'm sorry maybe later I just need time to myself and to forgive Steve and I need to listen what he has to say
Bucky mood changes and so his posture now he is a little upset you said you didn't wanna be with him right now.
Bucky: it's okay doll. I understand. Can we still be friends
Y/n: of course
You and Bucky both are walking back up to the compound and you go into the kitchen because you smell something really good.
Y/n: mmm yum what's that smell
Nat: I'm making dinner with Wanda
Wanda: yeah the dinner will be fine in a couple of minutes
Y/n: okay I will tell the others
