Life had changed drastically when July 19th came. Sheridan was all but flying through the airport to greet her husband. Covered head to toe and with sunglasses she raced through the waiting area to greet him. The tension that rested on everyones shoulders eased with Carlisle back. Quickly the tensions rose again, for everyone but Sheridan. Her parents were coming, the only two humans to ever grace the castle and come out entirely untouched, or supposed to at least.

While everyone busied themselves with preparing for the crowning ceremony Sheridan and Carlisle lingered at the front of the airport awaiting her parents. Sheridan should have been getting pampered by her ladies in waiting but she just pushed it off saying later.

"Do you think they will freak out?"

"Probably, a bunch of red eyes and pale faces that you didn't prepare them for." How could you possibly prepare anyone for walking into a den of vampires. There was no way to say it without really saying it so Sheridan decided it was better left as a surprise. She also trusted her parents not to ask and to keep any assumptions to themselves. She could only assume they already had their opinions about the Cullen's, its almost impossible not to.

"We will just hope for the best then, besides I think my dad will enjoy they whole mysterious aspect of it all. It will make him feel important." Their flight had landed only a few minutes ago but it shouldn't take long since her parents were here "on business", or so they claimed when arranging flights. The luggage conveyor had yet to start moving but someone had already come to drop the bags at Carlisle and Sheridans feet. Afton and Santiago were waiting in the car, much to their hesitancy. "I see them, grab the bags." Carlisle took the bags himself since Sheridan was already being waved over for a hug by her father.

"I missed you so much!" Anton swooped his daughter up in a hug before holding her out at arms reach to look at her. He definitely didn't miss the changes in her appearance, especially her eye colour. "You look well Sheridan, very, very well."

"She looks better than well! Your eyes, your skin, even your smile. Breathtaking." Vera observed her daughter in awe, gone was any trace of youth and clumsiness. Replacing her was a new woman, one who stood at full attention so elegantly and easily. The stoney look cracking and pulling into the softest smile, her movements were so smooth they looked animated.

"You look good as well mum, it's been a while." Since the wedding actually. Usually they talked on the phone often or Sheridan would face time them occasionally but the she had been a little preoccupied recently. Anton and Carlisle spoke in hushed tones a little ways away. Just simple catch up and work talk. The only difference was the excitement and wonder in Antons eyes.

"I hate to rush everyone but can we move the reunion to the car, I can only imagine how frantic my brothers are getting."

"Don't remind me. Believe it or not Caius was following me all morning demanding I follow tradition."

"Tradition?"

"Yes, prior to the actual ceremony I am suppose to be waited on by hand picked maids, breakfast and lunch. My final resting hours before I take on the weight of a kingdom." Adding a little dramatic flare Sheridan wiggled her fingers in the air with wide eyes and a smile. The heat washed over Anton and Vera the second the doors opened. The awning over the car park provided them cover from the sun but the humidity was shocking. Vera looked over at her daughter, eyeing the long sleeve shirt and pants she wore, accompanied by a scarf over her head. Two men rushed to Carlisle's side as they approached two cars. The eccentric clothing was an interesting choice, but what was even more shocking was the glimpse of red eyes Vera caught as the two men looked at her and her husband.
