(A/N: Just a forewaring this is a touchy subject and I'm pretty blunt about this. Just thought I'd let my readers know first.)
A lot of people are afraid of death. The only time when someone isn't afraid is they are sick of life and they don't care anymore or if they have lived their life and they know death is near. But I think even then they have to be afraid, just a lot less afraid than your average person.
I also think that people aren't afraid of death because of pain, for pain's not involved with every kind of death. But it's because it seems that their existence will just be, poof, gone. Like no matter how known or great they are they will eventually be forgotten, even though they may actually not be forgotten, but we don't know that for sure.
Also, that's only one of the major reasons why in my opinion. The other reason is because we simply don't know where we'll go after we die. And almost everyone is afraid of what the don't know, especially when it directly involves us.
So that's my explanation on why people are so afraid of death. Do you agree? Let me know in the comments. Also, don't forget to vote if you like this part.
