They were right.

And they were dumb.

Dumb to think Bryce would let it go. Dumb to think the rumours wouldn't make their friends doubt, make them wonder, make them look for signs. Dumb to think they could get away with it. Dumb to keep it secret this long.

She sits on the counter, her eyes never leaving the boy simply placing a pizza in the oven. The faint voices of their friends in the other room is the only reason why she's not already making out with him. "Stop looking at me like that."

A smirk tugs the corner of her lips as he makes his way to stand in between her knees. "And why would I do that?" She teases wrapping her legs around his waist.

"Because our friends are in the other room." He says and she knows deep down that he's right and they should be careful, but their friends have been at their house for the past three days. Though she's had Jaden to herself, she's been craving Josh a lot. Well, they both have.

She whines, throwing her head back. "I can't wait for them to be gone, so I can have you to myself."

Josh chuckles, knowing really well that once their friends are gone, Jaden's not going to let her have him to herself. Not that he's complaining. "I can't wait for that too."

He leans in, unable to stop himself. Just one little kiss, what could go wrong. He slides his lips against hers softly. "Seriously?" The noise makes them jump away from each other.

"Are you fucking kidding me Josh?!" Bryce's voice echoes through the kitchen, footsteps heavy as he makes his way to them.

"Bryce." Josh tries to calm him down, but the boy doesn't want to hear it.

"No shut the fuck up. Are you serious? Your best friend's girlfriend for real?" She hops down the counter, reaching to put a hand on Bryce's shoulder.

"This isn't what you're thinking..." He pushes her hand off him with a roll of his eyes.

"Oh no, so you weren't kissing your boyfriend's best friend? You know what, I didn't think you were a whore before today." Just as the words leave his mouth, Josh presses both hands on his chest and pushes him as hard as he can.

"Don't fucking talk about her like that man." Bryce huff loudly, resisting the urge to push him back.

"I fucking told him that something wasn't right, that you two were really close. I just... 4 years thrown out of the window, really?" She rolls her eyes, knowing really well that they won't be able to talk to him before he calms down. "I can't believe you would do that to your fucking best friend! How long has this been going on?"

"A while. Listen Bryce..." He tries to calm him down, explain himself but the boy doesn't want to hear him.

"No, shut the fuck up. Nothing you'll say can make it right, can make me understand what the fuck went through your head." She can see the anger rising inside of Josh, wanting nothing more than to reach for him but she can't. She knows that if she does, Bryce'll just get angrier.

She knows it hurts. That it hurts Josh being accused of something he didn't do, accused of something he fought against for years. Though he's been in love with them for a while, he never made a fucking move, never talked about it or let them know anything by fear of ruining things. So, yeah, she knows it hurts him, all the words Bryce's throwing at his face.

Relief washes over her as Jaden walks in the kitchen and Noah comes in-between Bryce and Josh.

"What the hell is going on?" Jaden frowns entering the kitchen with the other boys on his heels. He walks up to her, wrapping his arms around her waist, pressing his chest to her back.

She presses up against him and smiles as Jaden presses his lips against the top of her head. "Do you tell him, or I do?" Bryce says smugly.

"I can." Josh says, raising his hand like he's at school. "He caught me kissing your girlfriend."

Bryce almost can't believe Josh's attitude, telling his best friend with a smile on his face. "Oh." Is all Jaden answers making Bryce throw his hands up.

"Seriously? That's all you have to say. Oh?" Jaden shrugs hugging her tighter against him. Then something clicked inside of Bryce's head. "You knew? You knew they were seeing each other. What the fuck Jaden?"

The singer's eyes meet Josh's, waiting for his approval. The boy nods reluctantly, he would've liked to keep it secret for a little more time, but he knows they don't have the choice.

For the last months he felt like he was living in a bubble with the two of them, in their own little world. He knows that with the boys in on the secret it'll be different, he hopes it'll be a good different, but he doesn't know how they'll react.

But it'll be good to be able to be themselves around their friends though.

"We're.... We're seeing each other." She confesses first. The confusion is evident on Bryce and the other boys' faces.

"As in, you're dating both of them?" Blake steps forward with a frown up on his face. Their friends' eyes travel from the boy and back to them.

"As in we're dating the three of us." Jaden corrects him, missing Josh's gaze turning to the floor.

Yep, Jaden just outed him in front of everyone. He did tell him it was ok to tell the guys, but it just hit him. He never said a thing, never hinted being into guys and now it was out in the open.

He lifted his head back up, why was he this stressed about it. None of them would mind. They accepted Jaden in a heartbeat, why wouldn't they be the same with him.

He knows that the shock he sees in their faces is not because of his bisexuality but their unconventional relationship.

Bryce nods slowly, small smile tugging the corner of his lips. "I'm... I'm sorry I called you a whore."

She smiles and shrugs. "It's fine. You were protecting your friend."

"It's gonna take some getting used to but we're happy for you." Noah steps in, bumping his shoulder against Josh's.

"This can't get out of here though." Josh pushes. They can't go around and tell everyone, not right now, they're not ready. "It's all new and we'd rather keep it to ourselves and not share it with the internet."

They all agreed to keep their mouths shut, lifting a weight of their shoulders.

She pulls Josh into a kiss, now free to have him close, whenever she can.

Life has been good. Better than he expected it to be.

The boys understood a lot better than he thought they would.

He leans in to press a kiss to her lips. Smile against smile.

Who would've thought?

"Stop simping over there!" Bryce screams from the pool.

Josh laughs before turning around and running to jump in the pool. She chuckles, going back to her tanning session. The younger boy gets up to the surface, greeted by his boyfriend which pulls him into a kiss purely to piss off Bryce. "Oh my god, are you kidding me?"

It took a while, a while before he became confident and comfortable enough to kiss Jaden in front of everyone. He spent hours apologizing at how unfair he was towards him, but the singer assured him that it was fine, that he went through the same acceptation process that he did, that he understood.

Then one day, he couldn't resist the urge to just, kiss the smile off his face. So he did, under his friends' gaze before going back to what he was doing. In the end, he did a poor job erasing Jaden's smile as this one got bigger once Josh pulled back.

Both boys laugh at Bryce's annoyed look.

Yeah, life is good.
