Frogclaw was buried by the lake.

Ravenpaw felt complete sadness when he left her in her dream. But Vinescar was worse. She was overwhelmed with sadness that her mate died. She was twice as bitter, would only eat water voles- Frogclaw's favorite prey- and would only tell you off if any cat entered the elder's den. Ravenpaw tried once, but almost ended with Vinescar's teeth in her tail. She was an evil yet kindhearted cat all at once.

"What are we going to do about her?" Ravenpaw asked Daisyear one day. "She's getting out of paw!"

"I don't know." Daisyear's eyes were troubled. "She needs to eat something besides voles..."

"I'm not talking about prey!" Ravenpaw meowed. "I'm talking about the way she claws you everytime you ask her if she needs something! She's going to end up hurting some cat really bad one day if she keeps this up. She has no reason to be mean to her Clanmates. We didn't do that to Frogclaw."

Daisyear stared at her with awe. "Such strong words for some cat so young. But I agree. She needs to stop this." Daisyear walked out of the den. Ravenpaw trotted after her as she walked into the elders den. But Ravenpaw stopped outside the den. She didn't fancy claws in her tail.

Ravenpaw listened closely to their conversation.

"Vinescar!" she heard Daisyear snap. "Why- just why are you so bitter with everyone lately?"

   "I'm not." Vinescar snapped back.

"You are indeed! Clawing cats with your tounge when we try to help you! Frogclaw wouldn't want you to be like this."

Ravenpaw peeked her head in a little. Vinescar's tail was slashing back and forth and she stood up. "I'll have you know, young whippersnapper-"

"I'm your sister's daughter. I am not young." Daisyear interrupted.

"I happen to be this way because my moss is too dry." Vinescar turned her back. Daisyear's eyes popped out of her head. She did that look when she's about to blow up. Ravenpaw knew that look a lot when she sorted the wrong herbs together.

"Dry... moss... Is that what you tell me?" Daisyear's voice was soft. "That you have... DRY, MOSS?!"

"You should've asked me." Vinescar snapped.

Ravenpaw burst into the den. "Vinescar. That's not why you've been doing those things." Vinescar turned her head. Her eyes were furious with Daisyear.

"Why is it then?" Vinescar mewed. It sounded like a challenge to Ravenpaw.

"Because you miss Frogclaw too much." Ravenpaw stepped towards the elder."I dreamt about him in Starclan the day he died. He told me to tell you to be strong and he loves you. Also that he will be waiting in Starclan with you." Vinescar's eyes started to water up.

   "Really?" she whispered.

"Really." confirmed Ravenpaw. "Be stong for him, Vinescar. That includs eating different prey other than voles, and letting cats take care of you once and a while."

"Alright." she croaked. "You can start by getting me new moss." Ravenpaw purred. She'd gotten the old elder back to herself.

She walked into the medicine cat den. Daisyear burst in after her.

"What did you just do to her?" Daisyear's eyes were wide with shock. "It's like you just.... healed her! Just like that."

"I don't know. I guess I just have a way with elders." Ravenpaw shrugged.
