Stand With Ward

Chapter 8 May

"Hey!" May replies, "I heard you got your badge." She says, half smiling. "Yeah, I did!" Mia says, grinning. She knew may wasn't very fond of her. Mia saw her as her role model, though. Right know she needed to distract May so she wouldn't find out about Ward. "Im gonna go see coulson in his office." She says, about to walk away. "Coulsons in the garage! With .... Lola..." Mia exclaims. May looked weirded out by her loudness, but thanks her and nods. As soon as Mays out of eye shot Mia ran back into Coulsons office. She didnt see ward in the office so she went into his room. He was bare chested. "Oh! Shit! Sorry." She says, slamming the door. He had abbs. And I mean major 6 pack abbs. She hears him laugh. He opens the door, with a shirt may I add. "You need to get in my room, now." She says, whispering. "Eager." He smirks. She rolls her eyes. "We have to get out of here." Mia says, walking out, hoping he'll follow her. He does and when they get into their room she locks the door. "Whats this about?" Ward asks, curiously. "Mays back and if she sees you she'll slit your throat." She responds, looking through the peephole. Grant widened his eyes. "She nailed my foot to the floor." He mumbles. Mia laughs. "I know." She says. "I guess you can ask me that question now." She says, turning to face him. She didnt want him to ask, but she knew it was coming. "Youve tried to commit suicide before, havent you?" He asks. She looks down and looks at her fresh scars. She nods. "You had the perfect parents.." He responds. "They werent perfect... At all." She says, walking around. He squints at her. "Well now that you know about that, that means I get to know something about you." Mia says, trying to lighten up their conversation. "Like?" He says, grinning. She squints in consideration. "Whats your favorite movie?" She says, laughing slightly. Grant chuckles. "I havent seen a movie in 5 years." He says, sitting on her chair. "What the fuck?" She exclaims. "You have to watch pitch perfect. Now." Mia says, pulling out her basket of stuff.

"You want watch a movie?" He asks her. "Well your gonna be stuck here until Coulson comes back so might as well update you." She replies, putting the dvd in her tv. "Update me?" He laughs. She nods and sits down on her bed. "Now come witness the magic of what is this movie." She says, smirking. He sits on the far end side of the bed. "Im gonna go get some popcorn. Do not open the door." Mia demands. He just nods. This girl is crazy. He thought. One second she hates me, the next were watching a movie. Mia went to the kitchen and saw Skye. Thank God she had cleaned up her wounds. "Hey!" Skye says, on her tablet. "Whatcha doing?" She asks. "Im gonna eat some popcorn and then go take a nap. Im tired as f." Mia lies. She felt so bad for lying to her best friend but she couldnt tell her the truth. She makes the popcorn. "So mays back." Mia states. "Yeah!" Skye replies, popping one of the kernels in her mouth. "Do you know where A.C is?" She asks. "I thought he was in the garage." Mia responds, keeping up with her lie. "Hes probably getting polish for lola or something." Skye laughs. "Well you enjoy your popcorn, I'm going to go hack the presidents twitter account." Skye replies. Mia laughs. She loves her best friend. Mia walks away with the popcorn and opens her room door and quickly closed it. She saw ward waiting for her. "Here." She hands him the popcorn. Mia turns on the movie.

He smiled at some parts. She was quackling. He would laugh at her when she started laughing like a crazy person. Mia would glare but it was a playful glare. She started to feel herself drift off. Soon she feel asleep on the oppisite side of Ward. Grant looked at her. She had fallen asleep. He started to feel himself black out.

Mia woke up in the middle of the night. She looked to her right and there was..... Ward! Holy shit we didnt sleep together, did we? She thought. Memories started flooding through her head and she remembered what really happened. She sighed in relief and got up to go to Coulsons office. Ward groaned in his sleep and Mia laughed. She quickly covered her mouth and went to the directors office. She went in and no one was there. She left him a letter. "Ward is with me, I thought may might kill him if she saw him. Btw we need to talk. -Mia" the letter said. She left it there and walked out. Skye was there. "Your sleeping with someone arent you?" Skye exclaimed. Shit. "I hear someone in there." Skye says, smirking. "Ugh fine I am." Mia lies. "Who is it?" Skye exclaims. "Some.. Guy from our combat team." She smirks. "Tell me the details later." Skye smirks. "For now ill let you get back to 'who' your doing." She grins. Mia laughs and quickly enters her room and locks the door. Ward was turned over now so Mia could just see his back. She quietly entered the bed again. "Combat team?" She heard him ask. Her head snapped in his direction. "Did you want me to say, 'No, I'm sleeping with the guy who tried to kill you all." Mia jokes. Ward stays silent for a moment. "And were not even sleeping with each other!" She exclaims. "Technically we are." Ward smirks. Mia rolls her eyes. "Fuck you." She replies. "You wish." He says, the amusement evident in his voice. "I am going to murder you in your sleep." Mia replies. He laughs. "Murder." She whispers. They soon quickly fall back asleep.

She wakes up and she heard someone in the bathroom. Must be Ward. She quickly put on an tank top and legging on. She put her hair in a pony tail and went on her tablet. She was in the middle of rewatching season 1 of Agents of SHIELD. Boy would that be hard to explain. She was thinking about last night. I have to quit this mission. She thought, Soon enough her feelings would come in when they were doing the missions. Ward came out of the bath room. She looks up at him. "Stay here when I check for Coulson." Mia says, getting up. "Will you bring me back a razor?" Ward asks. She gives him a concerned look. He wasnt thinking of... "For shaving." He responds as if reading her thoughts. "Sure." She says about to open the door. Some one opens the door before her. It was Coulson. "I'm so glad your okay!" He says pulling her into a hug. She immediately hugged back and smiled. "Im guessing you know Mays back since hes here." The director said, pointing to Grant. She recognized how this looked and nodded quickly. "Ward is going to have to stay here until May goes back on another assignment." Coulson says quickly. Mia widens her eyes. Are you freaking kidding. She had her mouth open. Ward just nodded and didnt say anything. "Yeah okay, can I talk to you in your office real fast?" She says giving the director a 'what the fuck' face. Coulson smiles slightly and nods. They walk to his office and he shuts the door. "What the hell Coulson?" She yells. "Look, thats the only resort right now. May cant find out about him." The director says calmly. "I have to resign." Mia says sternly. "You cant." Coulson responds. "Yes, yes I can." She says. "You told me not to let my feelings come out in missions but its too late. I cant be around him." She exclaims. "You are going to have to put up with it for the safety of the world. If you resign from this mission we dont have a chance of taking the risers down." He reponds sternly. Mia groans and walks out just as Grant comes in. "Somebody could see you." She yells. "They didnt." Ward replies. "I need to talk to the director in private." He says to her. Mia slowly nods and walks back to her room.

MIA POV

What the hell am I supposed to do? Ward and me are going to be stuck in the same room for who knows how long. I wonder what they were talking about. Hopefully Grant asks for a new partner. I wanted to get my anger out so I went to the training grounds and pulled out a punching bag. I wrapped my hands up and blasted "True Love by P!nk" it described my feelings right now. I didnt know if I loved him. I just knew I had feelings for him. I started punching the bag. After about five of doing that Ward comes in. What the hell is he doing here someone could see him. "Someone could see you, what are you doing here?" I say, turning my song off. "Coulson locked down the training grounds." He replies. I turn back to punching the bag. Why would the director do that for Ward? "I'm your new S.O." He says, sounding amused. I whipped my head in his direction. "Your kidding. Please say your kidding." I say, widening my eyes. Couldon is being a real ass right now. "Coulson thought you could use more training." He says, walking towards me. "Hes the one who trained me." I say, putting my full attention on him now. "You dont have all the skills required to be a field agent." He says, grabbing a wrap for his hands. Is he kidding me? I was so pissed right now. "Lets see what level you are. Well have a fight, no weapons." He says. I raise my eyebrow. "Fine."

We circle each other. Im the first to throw a punch which he blocks. He trys to punch me in the stomach area. I block him and kick him. It was like this for a minute until I was on top of him and he was on the ground. "Why do girls always like to be on top?" He smirks and flips us. I knee him in the crotch and am back on top. He picks me up from the knees and flips us vertically. "Damn." I mummur. "I have to admit, your better than I thought." He says while getting off of me. "But could still use lots of help." I glare at him as he helps me up. "Technically I'm your S.O." I smirk, over to get water. "How so?" He replies. "I supervise you and make sure you dont go all hydra again, and im stuck with you all the time." I respond, checking my phone. He says nothing and takes a sip of water. I cant believe that Coulson said he could train me after I just said I wanted to resign.

"Mia." I hear coulsons voice on the intercom. He coughs as if to say 'and ward' "please come to my office." He demands. I start walking towards the door. "The cough meant and you." I say. I look through the door. "Its clear. Just avoid the lab windows." I say, waving my hand for him to follow me. He nods and follows. We run to his office. I open the door.

Coulson swirls his chair around.

"We have to talk." He says.
