Chidera push the door of the office angrily, today was not a good day for her. Okay she had woken up very early this morning only for the doctor to break the news that her mother had to do an emergency surgery which will cost a million naira, she called Chisom who told her she won't be able to loan any money till the following month, her own salary would come in by the end of the month and the money she had in her account was not even up to half a million as she has been spending it on her mother's chemotherapy and drug treatment.
After spending all the morning thinking and crying,she arrived at the office extremely late. Rushing towards the boardroom she bumped into Kate again.
"Can't you watch where you're going to?"Kate screamed.
Chidera pause, "I'm so sorry Kate" she went on to pick the items Kate had dropped accidentally.
Kate roll her eyes, "Are you blind? Can't you see?"
"She already said don't sorry what else do you want to hear?"Nina ask coming to stand beside Chidera. She was also on her way to the boardroom when she heard Kate screaming.
Kate roll her eyes, "What is your business?"
Nina scoff, "Chidera business is my business" she fold her arms. Chidera quietly gather the files only for Kate to hit it out of her hand making her angry.
"Kate or whatever you call yourself! No be only dey craze for Lagos oo mind yourself!!"she warned.
At this time the VIP elevator dinged open,Wizkid and the rest decided to stroll in laughing and talking.
"I wonder what's happening there" Remy points towards where some girls gathered. Their eyes follow him,they heard Chidera soft voice warning someone. "Let me go check it out" Kenny say, Wizkid stops him, "Wait."
"If I don't stop what will you do?"Kate challenged.
"Chidera just ignore her" Nina grab Chidera hands, she knows Kate was just looking for trouble. Chidera picks her laptop bag and turn away only to be blocked by Kate again.
"Get out of my way!"she warns in a low voice.
"If I don't what will you do?"Kate ask again.
Chidera chuckle, "Kate please just leave me alone."
"Or else what? You'll call mommy to beat me?"
At the sound of mommy Chidera brain starts rebooting and her blood went south.
"What the fuck did you just say?" She questions her eyes spitting fire. Kate smirk, "I said will you call....."
The sound of the thunderous slap hitting Kate that sent her taking two steps backwards was not what anybody bargained for. Nina eyes grew wide as Chidera flew on Kate slapping the hell out of her face screaming at her not to ever involved her mother in any fight.
By now many people have gathered trying to pull Chidera away from Kate. Chidera didn't get if she gets fired today she must show Kate never to run her mouth like a fool everytime. Her mother was struggling for her life in a ICU and this Nicki Minaj wannabe was calling her names!!
Even as strong hands pulled her away from Kate she still kept kicking and yelling on top of her voice.
"What the hell is happening here!!"Baba Are shouts getting everyone attentions.
"It's was all her fault!" Kate cried.
"I swear pour sand sand for my garri if you no go chop another round of beatings!"Chidera threatens.
"Chidera?!"
"Sir?"
"What has gotten into you?" Baba Are ask
"Nothing sir" Chidera looks down. "Both of you the boardroom now!!"he shouts and turns to the room the rest hurried after him.
Kenny stops talking as the door opens to reveal a furious Baba Are, a crying Kate,a worried Nina and a nonchalant Chidera.
"What happened?" Laura ask searching their faces.
"They were fighting can you imagine?" Baba Are sank on his chair and shook his head.
"Fighting? Why? Kate?" Laura ask again.
"Chidera started it,she just came at me and started yelling and hitting me and...."
"Shut up Kate! Have you forgotten I was there?"Nina roll her eyes. "Kate started everything."
"Chidera do you have anything to say?" Manuel ask all eyes fell on chidera who shook her head no. She knew if she wanted to explain she would end up crying not because of the fight but her mother who was dying and she has no money to pay the bills.
"Your attitude is not acceptable at Starboy Entertainment! What if Starboy was here! What if!!"
"Dera?" Wizkid soft voice calls, they all look at him wondering when he arrived and how he entered.
"Sir?"
Wizkid smiles softly, "sit down" he saw the whole fight happen so whatever baba Are meant about him not finding out was his business, he knew Dera was not at fault. He looked at Kate and felt angry.
Chidera flew into the nearest sit beside Remy.
"You" he points at Kate. "Get out!"
Kate eyes grew wide, "Sir! I..." She stops halfway when Wizkid gave her his 'dont try me' look, with head bowed Kate walked out shamefully.
"Go on Kenny" Wizkid leans down in his chair and drank from his cup, he glance at chidera, he caught her wipe eyes fast. She was crying!!!

Flash back
"I don't want to do anything Dera, I'm not in mood." Wizkid yawns, he lean back on his chair and frown. After the meeting she had gone to tell him his schedule and he was not even in the mood at all.
Chidera scratch her head, "So what do want to do sir?"
Wizkid shrugs. "I don't know brainstorm Dera."
Chidera exhale completely blank in the head. What on earth can she suggest that will make sense to the Wizkid??
Wizkid eyes twinkle, "Take me to a place where no one knows me but you" he say twirling the chair he sat on a playful smirk on his lips.
"Sir?" She didn't hear him well for certain, where on earth don't they know the Wizkid?
Wizkid opens his eyes and look at his PA. "I know one place."
"Where?"
"Your house."
Chidera almost fell out out the chair, "Sir?" She choked on her spit.
Wizkid roll his eyes. "Don't you have a house?"
"I do but I don't understand'
"What don't you understand?"
"Why do you want to come to my house?" She ask confuse.
Wizkid shrugs. "I don't know can't I come to your house?"
Chidera kept quiet and played with her fingers.
"Or I'm not invited?" He narrows his eyes making chidera heart skip a beat. "ah you are oo...you..."
"Then let's go! Stop stalling Dera." He sat up and gulp the remaining liquid in his cup.
Chidera slowly gather her things, "Sir i don't think it's a good idea." She grumble under breathe. Wizkid roll his eyes and stood up pretending not to hear her. "I'm not repeating myself." He said simply and walked out of the room.
