The Poetic Assassin

The Assassin blinded by the light,

Gaining entrance to the guarded fort,

Where none have tread before,

To see her shining like the brightest day.

Inside the halls of immense wonder behind a gilded door,

She has beauty beyond the rose and hair of sunbeams,

A mind sharp and unique with creativity and kindness,

Inspiring a love sparked from friendship that burns intensely.

Shared experience will strengthen their bond,

In harmony as a koi pond,

Yet this will appear to just happen as time is simply disregarded,

The illusion ignored within.

In way of entertainment the Assassin draws his sword,

A contest of mind and body sharp as the drawn steel,

Clashing fast and precise there is no way they would be bored,

Each strike to show the other the depth of what they both do feel.

Blades resheathed the spar draws to a close,

The tone and fiery energy disperses,

Assassin and Maiden relax into one another.

With eyes locked they feel comfort,

Silence exchanging a conversation of a thousand words,

Filled with meaning and emotion.

The distance travelled may be arduous,

In sense of physical, emotional and mental,

Yet the sum of these efforts are wondrous.

No worthwhile experience is without obstacle,

For the difficulty of the journey fades when shown the fruits at the destination,

Sweetness indescribable.

Sometimes happiness may be obscured by sadness or anger,

But don’t forget the feeling of joy beneath the immediate exterior,

It will always be there.

Long ago I saw your coming,

Details otherwise impossible to know.

Helping through difficult times,

I waited for you to show,

To share my loves, thoughts and feelings,

Read me like your favourite book.

One look into your changing eyes was all it took,

To intrigue and catch my attention.

Sharing and growing together is our inevitable intention,

The time I get talking to you is special.

You unlock my caged side pretty boy.
