Therefore, expect that this series probably won't end in the >100 chapters range. Thank you so much for the support :_D.

Also, I know that you may be getting really bored with the information, but it'll be over soon.

By the end of the next chapter, or whenever Elizabeth finishes her scheme, I'll put an explanation. Because a riddle whos answer is known to no one, is no riddle at all.

---

The officer's eyebrows raised, and followed his instructions without a word.

He was right. This woman indeed was not an average gal. The officer's lips slightly pursed, feeling wary about the potential mess he was dragging himself into. His neck, and shoulders slowly turned stern, as he became more aware of the present; each second melting into his ears, perpetual. He lived for a moment like this, praying and begging the skies for an opportunity like this - to find a partner, or some mainstay to find them.

But he was hesitant, second thinking his decision. This was not clear as crystal as he'd imagine it to be. There was no 100% of triumph, and even if he did, what exactly did he earn to be equal of his risk?

To be fairly honest, he was afraid that the conversation of what would happen afterwards, wouldn't be a topic. He simply was doubtful that he would be able to "win." He did not know this woman well enough to distinguish the chances of success. But, like any Ceres practitioner, he surrendered his soul to the guiding of the world, so he accepted it: trying to have gratitude, and compassion for his path.

How his mouth would foam if he knew that Elizabeth had qualms, perhaps even more than he did.

If they were ever to be found out, he would be executed by either his employer, or the trafficker group the duo were going to investigate. Why? Because only his boss, Su Long was in head of this campaign (if you will). The main house, and even his father, the second son (who is the head of the branch), had no say, nor acknowledgment about this project. Su Long was the lone wolf in this case, which was intelligent of him. The world was spinning and turning around the great families in the capital, and paid no attention to the rural areas of the continent. This was a rather good time to swindle chances of whatever the rich boy's goals were.

And then, the parade reached the front of a teahouse. Where, the poor girl was questioned by Su Long, in spiteful long, terribly long conversations.

He wasn't a dumb boy, not at all. Though his neglectful upbringing has created some pitiful, affection-looking traits, it had not created any "villainous," stupidity. The sort that made him appear very handsome (which he was), but incredibly foolish, to the point of no return. The sort that made the protagonist look like an elephant in the presence of a brave, but unwilful ant. Ah dear, no. Su Long was not that sort; he was still the young master of one of the most prestigious families in the country. The stark contrast he had realized that was between the branch family, and the main family forced him to suppressed those feelings of unfair, unequitable treatment. Which he sought as a rightful, legal entitlement. Therefore, he could only wait and prove himself as a capable 'man' in the eyes of the current Su House patriarch, Su Lang He. Who very importantly valued competition between his sons. Or grandchildren, if he judged that the current heir apparent, and the rest of the offspring in that generation was unworthy of the position.
