"What a smart one. From a look alone, I'd thought you wouldn't be able to hear me. My words seemed like the chirps of an ant." Elizabeth twirled around, but swung her head back as she maintained the officer's ruthless wrinkles, but softened eyes. Her neck bent unknowingly, like it would snap if she let the weight of her head, and thick emerald hair overtake her. Elizabeth's lips, glossy from her tongue, glistened no less than blood under the mane of the sun, but she kept walking. Elizabeth retracted her face, and turned around, skipping backwards.
"..." The officer did not respond.
"Men do not need women to stay satisfied" Elizabeth repeated in a low voice, trying to imitate a man's voice, at least what she'd think it'd sound like. She looked at the officer, and his soft grazed beard for a facial response. He didn't look back; still as a stone, like a lion guarding a castle.
"..."
"Is that so? You're an odd one. Most lads would emerge themselves in lust whenever this gal looks at them." She said, pointing her finger at herself, with a sort of gleeful smile that you'd probably rather not have to do.
The officer finally glanced, then swiftly turned his head back.
"What a silly fantasy woman."
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow.
"Is it? What a silly man."
They turned a corner, the tails of the horses swinging like a loosely plumed hat.
"When were you assigned to me? I didn't know until you pulled the rope." Elizabeth asked, not bothering to turn around. The man struck to her as eccentric, solemn like a old man's son, and like her terrible attraction to men, she felt a bit obliged to talk. Though, frankly, that was not the sole reason.
"..." The officer neglected to answer, and did so with comfortability. There was not a shift, a little gulp, nor a stiff sound. If you looked at him hard enough, you would have seen his pores dry as the ant's burrow.
"Since you're all about good, why don't you come see my ass then?" Elizabeth sourly said, even patting her bosom with her hands, as a grim, irritated expression flashed before her lips. Her head turned around, and unconsciously, somewhat challenged him to stay quiet again.
"No." The officer finally said.
"Don't be shy. One of your colleagues squeezed quite hard. I'm sure it's red now. Why don't you have a look? I'll get my justice." Elizabeth scoffed, letting the impact of her feet bounce her skull.
The carriages rattled below the worn-down rails of the dirt, packed from times of usage.
"You should take a shower."
"Why don't you jump into the bath with me? I'll scrub your back." Elizabeth winked.
"A doctor instead."
"How cold."
...
"Have you been contemplating my offer?"
"..."
"They've been there."
"No evidence."
She glanced, the sighed through her nose in slight aggravation. Elizabeth leaned closer, but the man swiftly moved to the other said, maintaining the distance.
She shot him a grin, and went closer. This time, he didn't move
