"Why are we like this?" (A fern x reader story)

The land of Aaa.....A sweet land full of different kingdoms and different people, all sharing the same hunk of rock they call home.

And on this land was a clone of the local hero, Fionna, made of grass who renamed herself as Fernessa. As to have her own female independence and has the 'I don't need no man attitude!' Which she doesn't, she's a strong independent woman after all! Even if made of grass.

Currently the grass hero was laying on the roof of their twins treehouse. Basking in the sun for energy.

"Heeyyy Fernessa!" A voice called out.

Fernessa sighed as she turned her head towards the familiar voice. seeing her twin, Fiona, coming onto the roof.

"Hey, Fiona. Going out on another mission?" Fernessa questioned with a bored tone.

"Actually, I was going to see prince gumball today. He wants us to meet a friend of his, wanna go? I think you'll like em!" The heroine spoke enthusiastically down at her clone, a smile as bright as can be.

"Uhhhhggg.....I guess." Fernessa groaned out. Staying in her laid out position.

"Oh! Great! Well I'll uh, meet you down in 5!"

"Mm."

With conformation, Fiona flipped down off the roof and into the treehouse to prepare for their trip to the Candy kingdom.

Fernessa sighed as she soon gathered up the energy to get up, stretching and removing the growing mushrooms off her body.

Once ready she met Fiona down at the door of the treehouse,

"You ready, Sis?"

"Yeah I guess so? I dunno."

"Cmon! Lemme hear a yeah!!"

"....Yeah?"

"Thats good enough for me!"

Fiona exclaimed and took her hand, leading the way to the candy kingdom even though they've been there many times before. Cake had decided to stay behind since she had a date with Gumballs horse later on and she wanted to get nice and ready for it.

Fiona led them up to the lab of prince gumball, all the while talking to her clone.

"So we gotta be really respectful, his friend is royalty. So treat em nice, okay?"

"Another prince?" Fernessa questioned, looking through her memories she shared with Fionna. "This is one we haven't met before, right?"

"Right! So we'll both be on our best behavior! Okay?"

"If you say so."

"Radical."

Fionna knocked on the lab door before opening it up, "Hey yo gumball! We have arrived!" She called out excitedly, "Cake has a date so she couldn't make it, instead Fernessa is here!"

"Ah perfect! I would like you ladies to meet a dear friend of mine," Gumball looked their way and moved out of the way to introduce the boy he was infront of. He had h/l h/c hair with a f/c suit made of petals and thorns. His crown made of flowers aswell. His e/c eyes staring and analyzing the two girls infront of him. He smiled and bowed slightly, "it is a pleasure to meet you ladies, I am the flower prince. Though you may call me m/y/n if you'd like."

Fernessa's face instantly heated up at the sight of the handsome and cute boy infront of her, she couldn't help but freeze in her spot!

"Oh hey, nice to meet ya flower prince! Im fionna, Mind if I call you flower for short?"
