"Where did you get this number? The general public should not be able to call us."
"Uh..." Laura closed her eyes, pulling the phone away from her face, trying to decide which response left the least doors open for negative consequences, "is this Project Wormhole?"
She heard muffled, confused speaking on the other end of the phone, but the speaker was quick to regain his professionalism, "first off, how on Earth did you learn about us?"
There was her chance to report, "listen, I have reason to believe that my son, Samual O'Dally, has been sent back in time through a method I've heard you've been studying."
"That still isn't a good reason to call the freaking government."
A second voice appeared in the background, "mate, give me the phone. You still there?"
"Yes," said Laura.
"Okay, great, here's the deal, we'll see if we can get you to a good location to talk about this, and while you're still here, we'll have you talk to someone to see if this is the real deal, okay?"
"Alright, thank you for your time."
"Okay, just let me connect you."
On the other end, the man Laura had been speaking to hung up the phone, and sat back in his swivel chair.
"You are seriously allowing her to do this?" Asked the first person she spoke to.
He picked up a rubix cube from his desk and began playing with it, "eh, a lady called in saying her son was a victim, so I just thought we should get here in a meeting with us before she killed someone."
The first man sighed, "I'm assuming that means we'll have to do research on the kid."
"Yup."
Another sigh, "alright, let's get to work, I'm assuming the major info will come through pretty soon."
