Beyond the Stars!

Episode 2!

I froze and was glued to the chair, I couldn't believe what I saw, it's Jai, the star I thought was beyond my reach, is now standing in front of me with his extended hands laid out and waiting for my hands.

I slowly raise my hands up towards him, his warm hands hold mine, I felt a like the earth was running, no it was my head spinning, it wasn't the earth just flew off its axis and fell into the outer space, his eyes shining but his face with a blank expression, he looks like he came to have a business deal, it felt very awkward, My Star is in front of me and also my prospective husband.

He sits across me, in the background I see two of his guards seat few tables away, they certainly look like business executives, I try not to look into his eyes, the few seconds of eye contact had me living for years, now having his full attention to me, sent shivers to my spines, God no I don't want to be caught off guard like this, so I muster the courage and try to start a conversation.

Paru: Hello JaiKrish, how you feeling?

Jai: Hello, how I am feeling? He asks with a blank face.

Paru: Sorry! How you doing?

Jai: I am fine! Thanks!

He didn't even bother to ask if I am doing well, I can't even assume what he is thinking, no smile, no expressions, just a blank face, but his eyes had layers of emotions just waiting to be explored and expressed.
The waiter came with my coffee and placed it in front of me, and he asked Jai what he would like to order and he responded Strong Filter coffee smiling, but when he turned to me, his face went back to blank.

Paru: Then!
I try to initiate a conversation.

Jai: Nothing, Dad told you work here, who do you work for?

Paru: Yes, my office is here, there in the that building 7th floor, it's my company.

Jai: Oh okay!
Then again he goes mute.

My phone vibrates I look into the screen, it's Pappa calling,I excuse myself and pick the call.

Paru: Hello Yes Pappa!

Dad: Kanna, did you meet him? You spoke to me? What do you think?

Paru: Yeah pa, talking to him Only!

Dad: okay Kanna! Bye call me once your done!

Paru: Okay Paapa!
I hang up the phone and go back to my seat, I see him on the phone talking, I couldn't hear much of him talking. But as soon as he saw me , he gave his phone to me, saying It's his mom, I take the phone from him, making sure my fingers don't touch his fingers.

Paru: Hello!

His Mom: Hello Parvathy! I am Sree Lakshmi, I am Jai's mother, How you ma? Hope you like my Son! I don't know since when I have been pestering him to get married he didn't even hear me out, but I don't know he just saw your pictures and immediately agreed to marry you.

What he agreed to marry me ah? He didn't want to marry otherwise? So does that mean he likes? Or is it that he is being noticing me in all his concerts? But how can any remember a face amidst thousands of people and that too in a concert lighting? All these kept running in my mind, so I try to close my eyes and stop my mind from over thinking and respond to his mom.

Paru: Hello Aunty! I am good, how you doing?

Sree: I am good ma, wait his father wants to talk to you.
I look at Jai, his face still blank, but he is looking at me intensely, oh his eyes! I hear a voice over the phone so I go back to concentrating on the call.
