Gala 4The atmosphere in that small dining room was practically suffocating. The tension was indescribable, and some wouldn't last a minute in there.
Eyes were piercing through each other as if they were searching for some kind of treasure. Mouths are practically dried up from swallowing way too much spit. You could even imagine every single hair strand standing up.
"How much longer are you hardheaded people going to waste my damn time? I've asked you one simple question and would very much like for you to answer." Yoongi looked down upon the 4 -what seemed to be frightened- employees of PHA. Who also are the current suspects in the 2 billion missing won case.
"Fucking hell. They're not gonna talk. Maybe shit their pants, yes, but talking no," Lisa frustratingly whispered to Roseanne, who was anxiously standing beside her.
"Just calm down. They'll break eventually." Rosie didn't want to admit it but she could clearly tell the 4 employees were standing their ground. Her father had personally organized the training program that every PHA hire was required to take part in, which had a course of "Don't sell out your company under any circumstances" or whatever along that line.
"We don't know anything. We're loyal to PHA and would never do what you claim," one out of 4 employees retorted.
Jin scoffed, "Save me the loyalty shit. You 4 are the only ones capable of wiping that large of an amount of money and go unnoticed. You have the rank and the skills. So don't try to deny it. I have solid evidence that makes 1, or even all of you guilty."
The employees looked at each other as their eyes either expressed worry or confusion. "We have no idea what you're talking about," the woman spat out. She had her nails chewed out by now and her nerves were not helping her. Yoongi watched the girl's movements while observing the rest's reaction to her.
The workers were acting as anyone would when being interrogated. They denied the claims against themselves all the same. However, each individual would express a different body language. Either it was twitching, or a repeated movement in their legs or fingers. They all responded differently but looked just as guilty.
Despite the difficult distribution of the true criminal, Yoongi had managed to quietly sniff them out. Well, eliminate two rather.
He reached over to Jin, stopping him from scaring the poor woman any longer. "That's enough," Yoongi said to the older boy. Jin raised his eyebrows at him before slowly stepping back. Yoongi stared down at the employees before pointing at two.
"You, and you. Get up."
Two young men exchanged worried looks before obeying him. Yoongi slightly chuckled and walked towards them, patting them on their backs. "Good lads." He made his way back to his previous position. "We appreciate your cooperation. You're free to go, gentlemen."
The two young men didn't hesitate to take their leave, but not before being stopped by Roseanne. "I expect not a word to my father. Unless you want me to enlighten him about your possible involvement in stealing from his company." Rosie gave them a smile.
"We won't say a word, ma'am. Promise."
"Very well." Roseanne stepped aside as the two rushed past her and through the door that Lisa had already opened.
The departure of their coworkers causes the remaining two baffled and offended. The woman finally detached her nails from her teeth and stood up defensively, "What the hell do you really want from us?! You let them leave but not me and Donghyun? If anyone's guilty here it was those two!"
