Rowan put her car in park outside of Rocket's Donut Shop with a sigh.
There was a knock on the window causing Rowan to jump slightly. She looked up to see Nova standing looking down at her. "Get out bitch, i'm hungry and Mandy made me wait for you" she said while pouting. Rowan let put a chuckle and unbuckled her seatbelt.
"Im coming, I'm coming. Don't worry you'll get your donuts." she lifted her hands up in defense jokingly. Amanda came around the car and slumped her arm around Rowan with a smile. The three of them have been friend for as long as any of them could remember. Nova and Rowan first meet in the first grade when Nova had brought the Kit Kittredge American girl doll to school and so had Rowan. The two bonded over their love for the Doll and instantly became close friends.
Later that year Amanda moved in. She move one door over to the house on the right of Rowan. One day when Rowan was playing in her backyard, Amanda had accidentally let her dog out. When the dog ran over to Rowan, Amanda followed close behind. The two girls ended up becoming friends over their love for animals.
Because she was very close to both girls they ended up meeting. Luckily they hit it off immediately growing close to each other. Even though the two girls became like best friend, deep down they both knew that Rowan was the glue to their friendship, and without her they probably wouldn't have been friends.
"How can I help you today?" a man at the register asked.
Nova and Amanda order their donuts and then the cashier turned to Rowan who seemed to be zoning out. "And what can I get for you" he asked in a attempt to pull he out of a fog.
"Oh sorry, i'll just have the same as them."that's what she always did. When ever she didn't know what to pick she went with what her friends got. He gave a small nod.
They paid for their food and move out of the way. Amanda grabbed lightly onto Rowans shoulder and looked at her with a concerned face. "Are you ok". To that Rowan shook her head yes. "Ok I was just asking because you seem off."
Rowan looked to her, "Yeah, i'm good I was just thinking." That didn't fully convince Amanda but she let it go. In reality she was thinking about the lists upon lists of lyrics going through her head. She couldn't figure out how to order the words but she had the idea in her head.
She then again was pulled out of thought by her phone buzzing, alerting her she got a notification.
