"Period 1 Maths, Period 2 English, Period 3 Media, Period 4 PE, Period 5 Visual Arts, Period 6 Health." I was telling my best friend Maggie my new school timetable and so far I was up to Wednesday Week A. "Alright, Now for Thursday", I groan "You know what Maggie? Here take my timetable and read it for yourself, I have better things to be doing than to be worrying about school just yet."

"Better things?"

"Yeah."

"Like what?"

"Uhh..." She had me and she knew it. My life was boring, I didn't have enough money to go shopping even if i wanted to, I didn't have so many friends that they were inviting me over every day and I definitely did not have a boyfriend, No boys ever even looked at me twice. I sigh "Ok, You got me but can we please do anything other than this?"

"Not a chance"

"But I-"

"Nope"

"But"

"No way"

"Please?"

"Fine, but you have to find something else for us to do"

"Ok" I say "Not a problem" But really it was, Our town was boring and there was no escape because we are separated from other towns by a large forrest inhabited by wolves and you would be mad to try and trek through it. Ever since that boy disappeared everyone has steered clear of the paths leading deep into the forrest, It was the talk of the town for a whole year until Meagan Rose came along and started firing out rumours as false as the word false can be. Just when I was about to give in to Maggie I had an idea that I knew she would fall for, "Hey Maggie, How about we take a walk up that path that goes deep into the forrest, You know that one the boy disappeared on? That would be fun" It took a moment for her brain to register what I had just said but the reaction was priceless, Her whole face lit up with excitement and she looked just a little kid who had just been handed a massive ice cream. I burst out laughing, "What?" she says sounding embarrassed "I'm sorry" I say through gasps of air "It's just one second you're annoying bitch and the next you're over-excited little 3 year old" I manage to say before bursting into yet another round of giggles.

"Maggie are sure about this?" I say uncertainly as we stand at the start of the path, "Oh course I am, It was your idea anyway so you have to do it" I sigh, She was right "Ok, But lets make this quick." As we start out trek into the woods I can't stop thinking about the boy that disappeared Is that going to be us in the next 15 minutes? I wonder to myself. While i'm thinking abut this I notice that Maggie has managed to get ahead of me by quite a bit. I run to catch up but something catches my eye and stops me dead in my tracks, Im staring into beautiful golden eyes, The golden eyes of a wolf. A normal logical person would have turned around and ran away screaming, But no not me, I just stayed there locked in its gaze. I started to wonder why the wolf hadn't attacked me yet and as time passed I became less and less scared. It was just me and the wolf trapped in each others gaze, We would have stayed like that forever if Maggie hadn't come along. She looked at me and then asked "what are you gawping at?" I didn't know if I should tell her the truth or not, If I did she probably wouldn't believe me and would say 'Are you mad?! That wolf would have killed you! Why on earth didn't you run?!' I made my decision "I was just checking out this plant here" I mumble "You mean you spent 15 minutes staring at a silly little plant?" 15 minutes? Wow it had seemed more like 15 seconds. As Maggie and I started our walk home I couldn't stop thinking about that wolf, There was something off about it, The way the wolf just stared and didn't attack, His actions were so... human.
