Hey Guys, Quick Note, This chapter you are finally going to be able to see a bit from Bren's POV (YAY :D). Also I am trying to make this book as realistic as possible so I am going to make Cassy act like a normal human being to Bren's news so don't go expecting her to be fine with it or just shrug it off or something.

Bren's POV

I have no idea how it happened. One moment we were talking about a date and then the next she had to open her stupid little mouth and say those cursed words, "Arrhhh" I cry out. I am going to shift, I need to get out of here and fast. Cassy has recovered from her state of shock and she is screaming and yelling and going crazy but I don't care about her right now, Only one thing is on my mind right now Get out. I stumble to the curtains at the side of the theatre and quickly pull myself behind them, I feel around for the door handle, twist it, and let myself out. I breathe in and I am filled with the scent of earth and trees, I collapse to the ground and come very close to passing out but I don't because I have to get away from the school first. I sink my nails into the earth and begin to pull myself forwards, It is tiring work but work that has to be done to justify my pack's survival. I am nearing the bushes but I wont get there fast enough but it's worth a try, Even as the agonising pain hits I keep pushing on. It was less than one meter away that I shift, As soon as I am in my wolf form and the pain subsides I sprint the remaining distance between me and the forrest. I then leap under a bush to spy on the school and see if anyone saw me, I scan my eyes around and just when I think I'm safe my eyes lock with they all to well known eyes of Cassy, Well shit. She begins to cautiously walk towards me but I would not have it, She had almost made me and my pack lose it all, our secrecy and our lives, She was the last person that I wanted to see right now. I crawl out of my hiding place without looking at her, She needed to know that I was angry and upset but I could not let her know that I was scared. Scared of the words she knew and the power they had, Magic runs through her blood I think to myself, But that cant be possible, She is simply mortal otherwise I would be able to sense it. I am snapped out of my thoughts by the sudden realisation of how close Cassy was, She was only about 4-5 meters away. Without giving her another thought i sprint into the forrest headed towards the pack house.

"I knew sending him to school was a bad idea" Max, The Alpha of our pack, says

"It was that or either one of us homeschool him" Replies Cady, Max's mate.

I along with everyone else shudder at the thought, Max sighs "We all knew the high risk and the things at stake when we signed him up and we all agreed on letting him go, So we shouldn't be mad at ourselves now" He addresses the pack before addressing just me, "Bren, Who was it who cast the spell?"

"Cassy" I mumble.

"Huh?" He asks.

"Cassy" I say a bit louder.

"Cassy who?" Max questions.

"I don't know, All I know is that her name is Cassy" I reply.

"Would you be able to trace her scent?".

"I think so" I say, I recall her sweet smell of apples and cinnamon and smile. Max snaps me out of my daze "Good, It seems our training is paying off then hey?" I nod and he continues "Bren Carter as leader and protecter of this pack I ask you to find her and bring her to me" I gulp, This can't be good, He is talking formally and that is something that Max never does he is always cracking a joke and making everyone smile. "What are you going to do to her" I say finally with enough courage to ask the dreaded question, "Well duh, I'm going to have to kill her obviously" Max answers with no hint of humour to his voice, I feel a lump in my throat, I knew things where bad but not this bad. "Surely there is another way" I ask desperately, Max sighs "I'm afraid not" he looks at my expression then continues "Bren, You have feelings for her don't you?" I take a few minutes to consider his words and realise that he is correct, I did feel something for her and it wasn't like I had ever known before. I consider lying to him but decide against it, He could spot a lie with his eyes closed intact he would probably suit and owl better than a wold but oh well, Such is life. "Yes" I reply shyly, Max along with everyone else in the room lets out a long held breath, "What?" I ask puzzled "Bren, Wolves are different to humans, We only feel this way about our mate and letting them go is like losing half of you. According to pack rules we can not harm one anothers mates, We will give this Cassy girl a choice: She will become like us or I'm afraid we will have to make an exception to our rules and silence her..." I feel sickened and angry by his words, "What kind of a choice is that?!" I say trying to keep myself from shouting out in my anger, "That's just like saying that you have to become human or die" Max's eyes flare up with anger and turn into the deep gold colour of his wolves', That's when Cady steps in, "Bren, Max, CALM PLEASE" She yells settling us both down. Before Max and I can continue our argument I am hit with the familiar scent of apples and cinnamon and as I listen I can hear the far off shouting of my mate.
