Chapter 7:

Weston and Cole stood outside of Alexis and logans room waiting for the doctor to give them an update on both of their conditions. Dr. Pete came out of the rooms and took of his gloves and put them in the trash he massaged his temples with his hand looking frustrated and tired. Cole wanted to believe that their was also a look of hope."So, what's the status?" asked a very frazzled Weston"Logan is going to be fine; he lost a lot of blood but, that's why I took him here right away. I gave him blood and he is in stable condition."Cole relaxed his muscles but, he got quickly tensed "Wait that's logan what about Alexis?"

"Look I'm going to tell you what's going on in my mind and then I'm going to tell you what's going on in my mind as a doctor." Dr. Pete said

"You guys have abilities but, there is a certain amount of energy you can project to make your power project. You have been working on practicing your power in small amounts because you couldn't use your power for a long time you are all of a sudden projecting your power in larger amounts than you are used to. From what we can tell- doing tests of energy and just monitoring her and looking over security footage; that we deleted after we saw it. She took that power and linked it with her emotions building up the energy and projecting it."

"www wait what are you saying" asked Cole

"I'm saying that the amount of energy she projected was too much for her body. I'm not saying it's impossible to overcome that energy but, I am saying since you guys were taking it slow learning these powers it's so much for her body to take in all of that power and energy. You guys have amazing powers but, you and Logan's powers don't have nearly as much energy. Alexis controls the elements; 1000 times more powerful than you and Logan's powers"

Cole sunk down to the floor terrified at what this meant. "Are you saying she is going to die? I'm hearing that the amount of energy might be fatal and that you are just going to give up on her!"

"don't you dare, think for a second that I'm just going to see how it plays out. I will work hard in order for her to have a chance at living."
