"The Lost Boy of Atlantis"

Chapter 7

"I love you, goodbye." Mew stated calmly and after a seconds he suddenly vanished into the thin air.

"Nooooo!!!" Gulf exclaimed.

Gulf rose up catching his breathe, bids of sweat on his forehead down to neck, also a tear stained on his beautiful face. When his breathing got stabilize that's when he realized that he isn't on the seashore anymore.

This room is familiar, it's First room his childhood friend, he thought. And just like he assumed who's the owner of this place, First came in to the bed carrying a tray of food. But his eyes grew big in shock and tears started to stream again on his face when he remembered about Mew. The latter is sad, alone and probably starving by now. First who seems to noticed his discomfort, asked.

"Are you okay Gulf?"

"How long I have been sleeping?" Gulf ask while fixing himself to rush out.

"About 8 hrs, I guess. You seem tired and sad when I saw you on the seashore so I bring you here at my place to rest comfortably." First sincerely told him.

First is kind, he's a friend of his since birth. Also he wasn't unaware of the fact that maybe First and him will be the Kings of the island. There is a huge amount of probability that they will be forced into a fixed marriage for the sake of peace and enrichment of their kingdom. Before, he wasn't even opposed of this idea as he know First is a perfect man for his. But not until he met Mew.

"Thank you." Gulf said and was about to go out but First held his wrist.

"If there's something troubling you and making you sad. I'm always here for you. Please don't hesitate to talk to me about anything----- I love you." shock is an understatement for Gulf. What's with the sudden confession? How will he reply to that.

" I'm thankful. I really am. I'll be going now." Gulf pulled back his wrist that First has been  holding.

" Gulf, I mean it. " First shouted. Gulf turned his back and said thank you once again. First smiled with that. He feels so light now that finally he was able to portray his feelings.

I'll wait until you love me too.

Gulf hurriedly went back to his place, worry is evident on his face. He is also debating and cursing himself about his childish behavior. How come he do that to Mew? Locking him, for real? He really has gone nuts. And most importantly he should not have left Mew. He should not have walk out. The right thing to do is to talk everything out.

He was gone for 8 hours. What the hell? How's Mew doing at this hour. He is alone for fucks sake. He sighed heavily before opening the door. He already prepared his speech on his way home. And he already had decided that no matter what happens he will not let Mew go because he loved him very much.

"Mew, I'm so..." his statement was paused as he saw the shield he made was gone anymore and worst as well as Mew.

What he saw scares him. Its his father with a smirk. He closed his eyes and tried to track him but no matter how he tried he can't find him. And that only means one thing, Mew is nowhere on the island anymore.

Gulf broke down in tears and kneeled in front of his father. He really is dumb for leaving Mew in the first place he shouldn't have do that. Mew needed him the most at those hours. But what is he doing? singing while crying his heart out and worst he slept like a man who has no worry at all. He just wasted their last moment together
It must be cherished but he ruined everything. If he didn't go, maybe Mew is still here at this place that they once called their home. He continued sobbing until he finally had the strength to talk to his king father.

"Where is he?! What did you do?!" he shouted angrily while shaking due to so much crying.

"I did what's right. You should have thank me because I help you to get rid of him." he stand up and face his father with a red face. He is fuming in anger.

"I hate you---I'll go, I'll bring him back." he walked away.

"Don't be crazy. Never thought you are this selfish. You already know that this island will sink soon. Do you really want him to die?" he clenched his fist and face his father with a stern look.

"I won't let that happen. I will protect him with all of my strength and capabilities." Gulf said determined. His father busrt out laughing.

"Too bad. Its too late my son. I knew that this will happen. So, I decided to destroy the portal after letting him out." Gulf got paled. He instantly run and check the portal and its true it got destroyed already. No matter how deep he dig there's no more portal. There's no more way for him and Mew to meet again. He broke down in tears again and slipped himself on the ground. There's no more strength left in him. His heart is aching and now even his body. And all of those times his king father is just there watching.
