As usual, Mew is sitting on the wooden chair, sight seeing the sea. The only thing that calms and made his every worries fade. While, unmindlessly sitting there someone at the back accidentally spilled a coffee on him. Luckily, it was an iced coffee, so he doesn't get hurt or burn. But still, he got startled.
"I'm sorry." the woman was in a panic. She tried to wipe the spilled coffee by the handkerchief while continuously saying sorry unaware of the strange stare that he got from Mew.
Mew was in dilemma. This woman seems really familiar to him but he can't recall when and where they did meet before. When the woman finally finish wiping his shirt and finally look up, she also throw a long stare at Mew before she started to initiate the talk.
"Its really you? Oh my gosh. What a coincidence! Do you perhaps still remember me? A year ago... Ahm. I'm the lady in the front desk at the airport." the woman in front of Mew really tried her best to introduce herself and make him remember. But Mew, was lost in thought staring at nowhere.
Here it goes again, the past that I wanted to remember. Can I open up with this woman? Maybe she can help me? Does she know something.
The woman wave her hands in Mew's face bringing back the latter to his reverie.
"Sorry. Yeah, I remember you." he awkwardly say. The woman smiled for that.
"I'm Pat. Nice to meet you---"
"Mew." he but in and gave her a thin smile.
"Nice to meet you Mew." she chuckled.
"Do you know me?" Mew nervously utter.
"Yeah, you just said that you're Mew." she chuckled again. Mew faked a laugh.
He looked up to the sky. Aish. They are now both sitting on the wooden chair talking random things or should I say just the woman talking and he on the other hand just keep on nodding and laugh when necessary. At least, he found some company. Being alone sucks if only if Gulf was here. He will never be.
There is no use although this woman was part of the people I acquainted a year ago. Still, I bet she doesn't know anything either about the man I always wanted to see and remember. Why is life so cruel to me?
He screams internally.
"Mew can I treat you with a coffee as compensation?" Pat politely asked.
"Mew!" she slightly screamed when Mew was not speaking.
"Oh yeah, thanks." she smiled faintly.
"the coffee there are so good. I often go there at least every morning. Too bad my latte americano just go to waste. Hmmpp." she pretended to sulk. Mew laughed genuinely.
"Should I squeeze my shirt on your mouth then so you can have the extract of your favorite coffee." Pat made a vomiting action and they laughed loudly.
Upon arriving at the cafe, Mew noticed that the ambience was really good. The furnitures are classic designs that's why it exudes homy vibes. There's a lot of customers too, seems like there coffee is really the best just like what Pat brag to him.
"Mew, I'll just go to the restroom. You can order anything but mine is latte americano, okay." he nodded. After awhile, he raised his hand calling the attention of the waiter.
Gulf immediately ran after the customer who is facing his back. When he finally reach the table and was about to greet. His eyes widen and the menu and tray he was holding fall to the ground. He felt weak and unable to speak a word. While Mew, he was bewildered and standing is the first thing that he was able to do. They are both staring at each other, frozen on where they are standing.
