"Miss Aurora?" The maid calls out for her, as she slowly enters her room.
"Oh, good morning, Greta. How can I help you?" Aurora says politely. As tired as she was from just waking up, she's always so energetic and kind. Greta lowers her head and sighs, Aurora looks at her worriedly. She gets out of bed and walks over to Greta.

"Follow me." Greta says to Aurora and walks towards a different room, Aurora following behind her. Greta leads her to a room, where her grandmother lays in bed. She doesn't seem to be doing well. Aurora slowly walks up to her Grandmother. She sits beside her Grandmother's bed, watching her old, wrinkled hand reach out for hers.

"I don't have much time left, so here's what I want you to do..." Aurora looks at the old, failed woman in front of her eye as she sees that her hands reach to the back of her neck to unclip of what seems to be a necklace. "I need you to take this stone and protect it with your life. But when the stone begins to shine, showing a white light, hold it in your hand tightly and throw it into the ocean. You are the chosen one, Aurora. You must follow your heart. Follow the horizon..." Aurora's grandmother says slowly as her eyes close, then open back up again.

Aurora takes a necklace from the old woman's hand. The stone was connected with the necklace was simple, but really beautiful. She had read many stories about it. Aurora looks at her grandmother and tears start to fill her eyes.

"You can't leave me." Aurora says sadly as she looks at her grandmother. "What will I do without you?" Aurora asks as she feels helpless and thinks about how she doesn't want to live without the person who cared for her. The person who has been there for her at all times, no matter the situation. The old woman smiles at her granddaughter. "My time has come. Once I pass, throw me into the ocean, and let Him take me up. I will watch over you always, Aurora… I promise." Aurora looks at her grandmother as her eyes close slowly, her breath hitches and her chest stops rising up and down. Aurora suddenly bursts into tears, and so does Greta. Her heart broke watching her grandmother pass.

Greta and Aurora lift the old woman up. They wrap her up in sheets and toss her gently into the ocean, watching her sink to the bottom. As the two sad girls watch as she sunk slowly, Greta puts a hand on her back and rubs it lightly. "It will all be alright, we are here for you just like she was." Greta says with a smile on her face.

As both stand while looking at the ocean they burst into tears. Both of them start to cry on each other's shoulders. Their whole day was now ruined. Aurora looks at the stone that her grandmother gave her, she clenches her fist, holding it tightly in her hand, thinking of what her grandmother told her.

"Protect it with your life... you are the chosen one..."

"What did she mean by chosen one?" Aurora thought to herself. She went back inside to her room. She went over to her bookshelf to find something about the stone. It took all day but she's finally found something about it. It's called the Frestina Stone. And it's over 1,000 years old. The stone was found by two brothers. But one day, they both fell in love with the same girl, the King's daughter. They tried to win her over with the gift of the stone, but with everything out of hand, the stone shone bright, and suddenly broke into two pieces.

When the stone is taken into the wrong hands, the consequences are shocking. Legend has it, that when the stone shines, it will lead the chosen one, to the treasure. And the stone will only shine, when it has met its match. Aurora looks at the stone and clenched her fist tightly again around it. "How am I the chosen one? Who decides if I'm the chosen one after all?" Aurora asks herself as she stares out the window to see Greta still by the ocean. But with her shoes off and her feet in the sand. Aurora looks up at the peaceful sunset and sighs. Aurora wished that she had the answers to this long mystery ahead of her. But little did she know, this stone was going to change her life forever.
