Episode 7 - Arnav avoids Khushi

She goes to office as she badly wanted to meet her love. She reaches there and she rushes to Arnav's cabin. Arnav saw her rushing towards his cabin from his glass screen and fumed with rage. The person he loved the most once is the person whom he hates the most now. While Khushi was inside, he had best made sure that he looked complacent.
Khushi: Arnavji...I mean...ASR.. Why were you not answering my calls?
Arnav(in an unusually serious tone): Miss Khushi I have the right to deny whoever I want.
Khushi gives one look at him and burst into tears.
Khushi(crying): Are you telling me that... that you don't like me?
Arnav(not able to see her in this state): Khushi this is office... Why are you behaving like this....? Listen I was busy yesterday.
Khushi: Are you sure ASR?
Arnav(a little angrily): yes!
Khushi: What happened? Any client issues?
Arnav: No... I mean...Yeah.. It's the Mehta's one... I mean..
Khushi(composing): Sorry ASR I can understand. Well okay, Shall I....Well shall I leave?
Arnav: leave.
Khushi: Well if there is anything then.....
Arnav: I said leave!!!
Khushi was taken aback. She jerked and skipped a beat listening to Arnav's voice. Poor Khushi!!! She goes out hiding her tears and saw Akash ascending the stairs. Akash knew about the rejection but didn't know about yesterday's incident or neither today's. He gives her a faint smile and she goes out with a nod without reacting much.
Khushi wasn't able to concentrate on her work. She was thinking about Arnav's reaction and Garima's situation. Were they this poor so that Garima is forced to do this??? Isn't her earning enough for the family?? After all she is the PA of ASR. She mailed him as she was not well and wants to take half day leave. Suddenly to her surprise, he mailed her back okay. She was really shocked. Every time she mailed him, he asks her to come to his cabin but now... Surely she is missing out something else. Did Naniji say something to him? Thoughts made her weak. Her knees start trembling unknowingly.
Soon she reaches home and saw Garima nowhere. Shashi was in the hall and gave a faint smile. Payal was talking over the phone facing backside and didn't know that Khushi came inside. Khushi silently sat on the sofa looking through the window. Shashi too didn't ask her anything as he couldn't as well though. But he just waited not giving any reaction.
Payal(crying): Why are you even doing this to me?? How could you on the first place do this to me?
Khushi jerked from her thoughts and thinks with whom Payal was talking to. As soon as it hits her in the mind that she is crying, she was about to call jiji but suddenly she discovers the shock of her life in her next sentence.
Payal: Akashji....I love you. I always love you...Why don't you understand.
Khushi was appalled. Her sister is loving someone secretly. It was with some Akash she is talking to. Could this mean that the Akash she is talking to is her colleague, Arnav's brother?? The next sentence of her's again gave her the shock of her life.
Payal: Why don't you tell Arnavji. He is your brother no? First tell him.
Khushi then rushed outside about to burst in tears as she couldn't hold them. As soon as she rushes out, Payal discovers that Khushi had come. She bits her tongue and starts apprehending what would happen. Did she hear her whole conversation?
Khushi cries her heart out.
Khushi(thinking): What is happening Devimayya??? There are many things going on in my own house where I don't know even a small thing about it. First Garima, then Payal next whom??
She was even feeling bad for Shashi as he might have known everything but would not have been able to say much about it. She broke down. Now she starts apprehending more about Arnav's behaviour. Could it be such that Arnav is hiding something from her. Did Nani say anything about her? Is he also hiding something from her? But then she shook off her thought. She must not think about Arnav like that. It is her Arnav. She must not doubt him. But all these things are making her think negative. Payal loves Akash. First of all even her case is pending. Now what happens if Naniji comes to know about this?? Will she even agree to this?? Won't she think that all of us had taken their sons forcefully. Won't she think that her grandsons became a bait to the Gupta's family? She then remembers her conversation with Payal when she told that she loved Arnav. She now got like how Payal came to know this much about their family. What if they don't accept both of them? Thoughts made her angry. She threw a flower pot nearby.
Khushi(shouting): Arrrgggghhhh.!! I hate everything!
Payal was listening to all these, trembling. What happened to Khushi?? Why is she behaving like this?? Is she not happy with the her if she would have heard her conversation?
In Jagmanpur,
Ratan Lal and Thakur's conversation:
Ratan lal: Thakur sahab this week the Batra's didn't pay the loan properly.. What shall we do now?
Thakur: Get their land and their daughter for tonight Seth.
Ratan lan:ahem.... Thakur Sahab if you don't mind...ahem...
Thankur: yes?
Ratan: Well....Uhhmm...
Thankur: Spit it out Seth!
Ratan: Isn't this too much for them. Well you know if we could make it either/ or...you know what I mean...
Thankur(eyes meeting his head): Are you saying that I am not being sane? Tell me clearly Ratan lal!
Ratan: Huf...Thakur Sashab what I meant was that you could do one. If two are done then it will be a big loss for them and they might not be able to handle it. So we could you know what I mean...
Thakur(standing up): Do you want me to compromise on my business or my sex life. You know what Seth just shoo off!! I want them both. If I ask you to choose between family or business what would you choose? You'll say both right?? See, I just cannot choose anyone so I chose both. Bring me that girl tonight!!
Ratan(caressing his back head): Sethji it is just that....
Thakur: Do what I say...!
Seth goes away. Nutan who was listening to their conversation rushes in and says,
Nutan: Can't you just stop these for few days especially for Sheetal? The groom family is gonna come tomorrow. What are we gonna tell them..
Thakur(bellowing): When have you started ordering me like this? I'm this village's Thakur and everyone is under my control.
Nutan: Don't forget that your mother is still alive Thakur and you exist because I chose to carry you for 9 months!
Thakur was about to throttle her neck but saw Sheetal's crying face behind a pillar. He stopped and threatened.
Thakur: Soon I will get rid of you!! I am leaving things now and that doesn't mean that I am listening to you Thakurain maa!
Thankur leaves and Nutan looks on longingly when Thakur will call her just by maa. Nutan then asks the Seth to come back.
Nutan: Thakur Sahab should come in control! Otherwise his life would be at stake. I can't take this anymore!! I want him to get married as soon as possible.
Seth: But Thakur Sahab will not agree to this! He will not be having the freedom to sleep every... you know Thakurain maa.
Nutan: Seth Sahab I have been thinking in my mind for long. I know about your daughter who lives in Delhi. I want her to get married to Thakur Sahab.
Seth: Thakurain maa!! What are you saying??
Nutan(folding her hands): Please.
Seth cued her to stop with his hands and bowed in front of her.
Seth: We have been working for your family since generations. Please don't fold your hands in front of me. Whatever you say I will do. Anyway I had thought of getting her married to a person of our village. I have asked her to come here. But I never expected it to be Thakur Sahab himself.
But Sethji you are totally mistaken!! She is for Arnav himself!!
Gupta's house..
Khushi was really upset about the facts and her head felt like it was about to burst any moment. Must she just confront Garima about the same or wait for some more time?? As she was thinking, Garima came but this time she was not panting and she was carrying a bag. So she thought she might have not done it. But the sight of her's made Khushi convulse. As soon Garima smiled, she couldn't handle it anymore of the phony smile. She glared at her and broke the vase.
Khushi: Why do you fake so much?
Garima was appalled. She was now looking at her with a serious face, her smile fading away.
Garima: What are you talking about? Why are you behaving like this to your mother?
Khushi(craftily ): What?? You don't know anything?? Okay can you show me what you bought from the market?
Garima: What happened to you?? These are just vegetables. Don't tell me that for this question you are behaving this way.
Khushi(derisively ): Oh yeah! how can I forget?? You have 6 more in store! You don't have to buy until 2-3 days depending on your appetite..
Garima(angrily): Khushi how dare!! Don't forget that you are talking to your mother.
Khushi: Mother you!!! You are a cunning woman.
Garima slapped her.
