The cold winter breeze chilled my bare legs as I walked across the grocery store parking lot. My arms were wrapped around my bags that were practically leaking food as I made my way to my cherry red mini cooper, trying to keep my skirt from flying up and exposing my rear end to my fellow shoppers. As I finally approached the car, I dug in my grey wool coat pocket for my car keys, but no luck. As I began to reach into my other pocket, I tripped and my precious food spilled across the blacktop. “Shit!” I cursed, kneeling to the ground, trying to gather my dropped items. As I reached for the box of my beloved Lucky Charms cereal, I heard a chuckle come from behind me. I turned to glare at the source of the laugh, and was met with a pair of sparkling blue eyes. I froze for a moment, then loudly exhaled, realizing that I’d been holding my breath. “I think you dropped this,” said the pale boy, holding out a can of peaches. I noted that he had a strong irish accent, and a REALLY nice smile. “Oh, th-thanks..” I stuttered, suddenly really nervous. We both stood up to face each other and he stuck out his hand. “Niall Horan,” he said, flashing me another smile. “Cassie Donnelly,” I replied, shaking his hand. “So, Cassie Donnelly,” he smirked, “what’s a tiny girl like yourself doing with all of this food?” I blushed, slightly embarrassed. “That would be none of your business, Mr. Horan,” I answered cheekily as I began to open the trunk of the my mini and place the food inside. “Hold on,” said Niall, grabbing my hand to stop me from shutting the trunk. I jumped slightly as I felt shivers go up my arms from his sudden contact. “You forgot this..” he continued, placing a carton of orange juice in with the rest of my food. “Oh thanks,” I said, smiling up at him. He really did have nice eyes. I realized he was still holding my hand, and awkwardly coughed, removing my hand from his and putting it into my warm coat pocket. A look of disappointment flashed across Niall’s eyes before he covered it with a laugh. “I’ll see you around, Cassie.” He said, winking, as he turned and walked away.
