I couldn’t get Niall off my mind the entire car ride home. I kept going over our previous conversation in my head, cursing myself for not asking him for his number. I was probably wouldn’t see him ever again. I sighed as I pulled into the driveway of my two story apartment in downtown LaSalle, snapping myself out of my thoughts. I grabbed my groceries out of my trunk and entered through my front door making my way to the kitchen. I set the bags down and began to sort the food and put it away. I picked up the carton of orange juice, looking at it and thinking about the irish boy with the beautiful smile. As I went to put it in the fridge, however, I noticed something had been written on the side of the carton.
“I’d like the make you my business, gimme a ring sometime? Niall xx”
I smiled at his reference to our previous conversation and copied his number into my phone. I decided to text him later, not wanting to seem too desperate. I finished putting my groceries away and looked at the clock, realizing it was almost time for this week’s episode of the X factor. I made myself comfortable on the couch and started to cook a bag of popcorn in the microwave. I spent the rest of my night cheering on my favorite contestants and crying over the sad stories, the image of Niall’s sparkling eyes and beautiful smile lingering in the corner of my mind.
