Welcome to the world of pegasus!
Pegasus are very similar to centaurs and unicorns.
The color of their magic is pink.
For those who are not aware, pegasus have the appearance of a horse with wings. Most of the time feathery wings, but there are some variance, bat-ish wings, fairy-like wings, and such, thought to have come from marrying another kind. Although their horse body tends to stay typical colors, their wings can sometimes have hints of unnatural fur colors, usually appearing in minor details.
Like centaurs, they tend to be on the taller side along with natural leg strength.
Pegasus tend to live among centaurs and pegasus, as outlined in the section about centaurs. Especially if they spend most of their time in their magical form, they're very partial to open spaces to run freely and fly freely. As much as the trees can help be a shield, they want open air space. This is why most prefer to live on the quasi-equus islands where they can fly freely without worrying about being spotted by a human unaware of their existence.
Their magic gives them their leg strength while in human form and an ability to talk to horses, but it is not guaranteed that they will listen. They also have their portals and their spear necklaces. Their pendant is a feather to represent their kind.
They are open to other magical creatures benign on their island, including humans. There are times that they (not just pegasus but all quasi-equus) will grant a human a tiny portion of their magic, enough to use the spear necklace and doors but no more as that could kill them. Even then, it needs to be handled with caution as there is a risk for both parties. It happens rarely, and there is always a significant reason to grant the human that gift.
A small percentage of the pegasus can make their wings visible disappear, though they can still be felt.
Some of the possibilities for increased magic are actually making their wings disappear while in their pegasus form, increased speed, and the ability to sprout wings in human form.
When it comes to intermarriage with other kinds, pegasus are very similar to centaurs. With quasi-equus, they will tend to take after the mother and even with others, depending on which magic is more dominant. Quasi-equus tend to be less prevalent in features if from the father but will commonly give the advantage of leg strength.
