it was prom day.

dream was rushing to get everything ready. he showered, brushed his teeth, got his suit, picked up the corsage along with a small bouquet, got his dress shoes, and combed his hair. he was ready. he went downstairs to grab his keys so he could pick up george.

"oh my goodness! clay, you look so handsome!" his mother was in the kitchen cleaning up. "let me take a picture!"

dream groaned, "mommm, i cant i need to hurry!"

dream's mom grabbed her phone, "just one picture!"

dream decided that arguing was just going to waste more time, so he stood there and smiled for the camera. she ended up taking a lot more than just one picture, but she was satisfied with the ones she took.

"and make sure you send me a picture of you and george!" she said while dream was walking out. "have fun! love you!"

"okay mom! bye, love you too!" he said getting into his car.

he arrived to george's house and knocked on the door. george's mother opened.

"clay, you're here! you look so handsome." mrs. davidson said smiling.

dream walked in. "thank you, mrs, davidson. where's george?"

"i'll go get him." he turned to see george's sister, blair.

dream nodded. he looked at himself in the hallway mirror until he heard footsteps coming downstairs.

he turned to see george. he was wearing a beautiful, blue gown that finished above his knees, but the back continued to the bottom. dream smiled and looked down to george's shoes. he was wearing his old pair of black converse. he also noticed that he was wearing the bracelet dream had made him freshman year. it was a blue and green bracelet he made with string he stole from his sister's, drista's, friendship bracelet kit she got for her birthday. he wanted to give it to him as a surprise, so the measurements weren't exactly correct. it ended up being a little too big for george's wrist, so he decided to wear it as an anklet instead.

he looked back up at george and blushed. "you look so beautiful."

george made it downstairs and walked to dream and gave him a hug. "and you look very handsome."

dream let go of george and tied the corsage to his wrist. and george pinned a boutonnière to dream's suit.

george's mom and dad ended up making them take millions of pictures together. they took one on the stairs, in front of the door, and outside. eventually, they had to leave and said their goodbyes to george's family and got into dream's car.

george plugged the aux into his phone and picked a song.

now playing:
"teen romance" by lil peep

i met her by chance
i said "i really like your pants"
i know you got a man,
gimme your hand
teen romance

they got to school gym and went inside. they found their friends all at one table.

sapnap, karl, and quackity were closely sitting down next to each other talking. laughing and giving each other small kisses on the cheeks here and there.

niki and wilbur were dancing and talking but were paying more attention to their conversation rather than how they were dancing.

bad, skeppy, techno, and fundy were sitting parallel on the same table as sapnap, karl and quackity, talking and laughing at the dumb jokes skeppy and fundy were making.

soon a slow dance song was up and they saw sapnap, karl and quackity on the dance floor attempting to dance. (really they just laughed at each other's dance moves and tried to teach each other what the "real" moves were even thought all three didn't know what they were doing)

dream brought george down to the dance floor. "may i have this dance?"

george giggled, "you're so dumb."

they slowed danced to the song while george layed his head on dream's chest, listening to his heartbeat.

dream thought it was the perfect time to confession to george. i mean what better time could there possible be? he laughed in his head as he remembered that this moment was like all the cringey high school movies he use to watch when he was a kid.

he brought his hand to george's chin and made him look up to him.

"george, i think this has been pretty obvious, but i really like you, georgie" he said softly, "i like you a lot. and i always have since 8th grade. you don't have to answer right now but will you be my boyfriend?"

george blushed a deep red and smiled so hard that it hurt. he nodded and hugged dream tightly. they had stopped dancing at that point. "of course, idiot. it's about time you asked."

dream chuckled and cupped george's cheeks with his hands. "can i?"

george, who was even more red than before, nodded.

dream leaned in and close the gap between their lips. the kiss was soft and full of love. george's lips were soft. dream assumed george had put on chapstick before they left because they tasted like strawberries. dream's lips were definitely chapped but george didn't seem to mind.

they pulled away and george hid his blushing face on
dream's chest. dream laughed and brought george's face to his face and kissed him once more.

they separated and continued to dance until the song finished. the rest of the night was fun and filled with laughs. everyone had a good time and dream and george were happier than ever.

after prom, dream brought his new boyfriend home and stayed the night at his house. (it was pretty late when they got there and he didn't wanna drive home) he texted his mom that he was going to sleep over and sent her the pictures they took at george's house.

he showered, and changed into new boxers and one of george's shirts that were too big on him but the perfect size for dream.

george did the same and got into bed with dream and cuddled.

"did you have fun tonight?" dream asked while playing with george's hair.

george nodded and yawned, "very but i'm sleepy now so let's go to sleep pleaseee." he picked his head up and gave dream a quick kiss on the cheek.

dream giggled and pulled george closer. george rested his head on dream's chest while both slowly fell asleep, satisfied with how their night went.
