Elizabeth Byers has just escaped from what could easily be described as Hell. She escaped from her home planet of Gallifrey on the last day of the Time War, narrowly escaping death. Now, she is back on Earth, the planet that raised her. It's her only home left, and her life there is in shambles until she receives the opportunity to complete a surgical internship at the renowned Seattle Grace Hospital. She quickly settles into her new life in Seattle, but finds that surgery is more than what she bargained for as she becomes attached to her colleagues and actually finds joy in helping her patients.
It's not long before Eliza begins to think that she might have found where she belongs, but her first mistake was believing that she was alone.

It's back up! If you think you've seen this story somewhere before, don't worry: you probably have. I'm republishing this story now that I'm using this profile again. It's still going to be the same story, so let me welcome everyone new and old to the official first installment of "The Chief's Records!"
