Now Playing: The Middle by Jimmy Eat World

"Hey, you know they're all the same, you know you're doing better on your own, so don't buy in."

The next day came around sooner than I imagined. Light made it's way through my curtains and shone straight onto my face, stirring me from my light sleep. As I sat up, I was slightly disorientated by the new surroundings, surroundings that I would soon get used to waking up in.

To do list for today:

- Go shopping.

- Finish unpacking.

- Start decorating.

- Begin to get a grip of the area.

It seemed today would be quite a relaxed day. Just making everything feel a little more like home.

I got up and dressed and realised I didn't have anything in for breakfast. I guess I was going to have to go to the supermarket a little earlier than I expected.

Quickly, I grabbed my shoes, coat and keys and headed outside. On my way here, I saw that there was a supermarket just down the street so I began to walk my way there. It seemed to be quite a nice day for April. The spring warmth was just poking through, the sky dotted with a few clouds. It was pleasant.

The supermarket was quite quiet. There was just the odd pensioner in there. I made my way through the aisles, picking up anything that I needed and placing it in my shopping trolley. I made extra sure that I had gotten myself some cereal for my breakfast.

Teabags, check. Milk, check. Fruit and veg, check. Stuff for meals during the week, check. It seemed as if I had grabbed everything I needed and I was sure glad to get out of there, the lights were so bright that they were beginning to strain my eyes. I payed for my shopping and made my way back to my new apartment.

"God, I really wish I had come in the car." I said. The bags were full of tins, fruit and soft drinks and subsequently were incredibly heavy. Especially as I had four bags. "Just a little further Y/N, you can do this." I tried to encourage myself even if it was useless.

"You okay there, Y/N?" I heard a voice behind me ask. Turning around, I saw the silver haired boy who had introduced himself to me last night.

"Oh, yeah. Suga was it?"

"Yeah. You want me to carry a couple of those bags?" He asked me, noticing how weighed down I was.

"Do you not mind?" I questioned, not wanting to bother him.

"Not at all, here, I'll take those two from you." He took the two bags from my left hand and we continued to walk down the street. Once we got to my apartment, he put down the bags in the kitchen.

"Hey, Suga. You want a cup of tea or something? Or, if you've not had breakfast I can give you breakfast." I asked, I wanted to thank him for what he'd done and I wished to get to know this boy a little more.

"I'd love a cup of tea please, Y/N. I just have milk if that's okay."

"Coming right up." I smiled and put the kettle and began to put the shopping away. Once I turned away from the fridge, I noticed that Suga was helping to put some of the food in the cupboards.

"Oh, you don't have to do that."

"I don't mind." Wow, could this guy be any nicer? "So, where abouts are you from, Y/N?" He asked.

"I'm from Tokyo, I've lived there all my life. I went to a high school called Nekoma before coming here for uni."

"Oh, I know Nekoma. I'm from Miyagi, I went to Karasuno. I was part of the volleyball team and we went to the Nekoma training camps and the like."

Karasuno. I knew that name. From when he used to drag me to those training camps. From when he insisted I go to nationals to watch him. Typical, I was being reminded of him even here.

"Hey, Y/N, you okay?" Suga had a concerned look upon his face.

"Yeah, sorry. Just some bad memories about this guy from my school. My ex-boyfriend. He was on the volleyball team."

"Oh, I'm sorry-"

"No, you didn't know." I cut him off. "Anyway, it's over now, we're over." I held back the tears that were threatening to flow out and swallowed the lump in my throat.

"I don't mean to pry, but how long ago did you break up? You seem quite shaken up." He said with a soft tone to his voice. I don't know why but Suga's aura made me want to trust him instantly. He seemed like that sort of guy.

"Yesterday." At that, I heard a sharp intake of breath and a hundred apologies all flowing at once. "No, no. It's fine. He didn't even tell me, just posted a picture on his Instagram of him kissing someone else."

"That's cold." He said.

"Cold indeed."

"Well, I say that you're better without him. You don't want someone that toxic in your life." He said, placing his arm around my shoulders. How is this guy so sweet? I thought.

"Thank you." I smiled. At that moment, the kettle boiled and I made tea for the two of us. He thanked me as we sat on the sofa together. We made small talk between us, getting to know each other a little better. Finding out about our interests and hobbies.

"So, what are you studying?" I asked him, we were in university for a reason after all.

"I'm studying education, I wish to work in a primary school once I leave."

"Cute, I've not known you for long but I already sense that nurturing nature about you." He smiled at my compliment before asking me what I was studying. "Astrophysics. I'd love to be a part of NASA when I'm older. Space has fascinated me from being a young child."

Conversations between us lasted until lunch time when Suga said he needed to go. I was slightly disappointed at the fact but I had enjoyed his company while it lasted.

And that was only the beginning of our story...
