"Youngblood, say you want me, say you want me back in your life so I'm just a dead man crawling tonight."

The two of us could hear the music blaring out from the bottom of the street. Butterflies were creeping up in my stomach and I felt as if something was bound to go wrong.
"It's gonna be okay." I heard the soft voice beside me say. It allowed me to calm down instantly. His voice was so soothing and could reassure me in a second. Once we got to the house, Suga knocked on the door.
"Are you sure they're gonna hear that?"
"If they don't come in two minutes, we enter."
"Oh, okay." To my surprise, the door opened. Behind it was a relatively tall boy with brown hair. He was stunning and was clearly the type to have girls fawning all over him. He looked at the boy beside me before greeting him.
"Heya, Mr Refreshing." Suga playfully rolled his eyes at this name before replying to him.
"Hi, Tooru. Can we come in?"
"Of course." He stepped aside and gestured for us to come in. Tooru, so that was the name of our host. Him and Suga seemed to have been friends for a while. He must have been another volleyball player or something along the lines. He seemed to have the build for it.
As we walked in, the sound hit me like a brick wall. I could barely hear myself think above the heavy beats coming from the speakers. I unconsciously gripped onto Suga's jacket sleeve, trying not to get lost. Looking at his face, I saw a slight smile on his lips and looked as if he was giggling, not that I could hear him.
"Sorry." I shouted, making sure he heard me before letting go.
"It's fine." He shouted back.
We entered into the kitchen which was filled with slightly less people, much to my comfort, I thought I'd stay there for the duration. It seemed calmer.
Suga moved towards the counter to grab some drinks, pouring them into the red cups I had seen in so many teen movies.
"What's in this?"
"Just coke, if you wanna add alcohol, there's some over there but it's up to you. I won't force you."
"I think I'll stick with this for now. Thanks." He smiled at me in response.
He got up from his chair next to me and put his hand out to me.
"Come dance with me." His smile managed to get even bigger than it previously was and the butterflies returned. Looking back, I realise that this was for a different reason than what I thought at the time.
I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up from my seating position, before dragging me to the place where people were dancing. We were only on the edge of the people so there weren't too many people surrounding us. I was incredibly awkward at first but soon got into it.
The lights were changing colour around us. This Tooru had really spent out on this gig. I wasn't really paying attention to the music as I mindlessly moved my body to the beat, occasionally taking a sip of my drink.
I was surprisingly enjoying my night, something a few hours ago seemed impossible. I never realised that social events could be so fun. Sure, the only person I was talking to was Suga but it's an improvement, right. The adrenaline was rushing through my body despite being entirely sober. It felt so good, it was just a shame it went so downhill.
