"Welcome ladies and gents... to the halloween heist!" Jake called to the collected squad.

The Halloween Heist was a big deal in the 99th precinct, it was done ever halloween without fail. It was my first year experiencing the competitive nature of the team, all hunting for one object and of course, I was sick.

"This year we will be competing for.." Jake said, picking up a long black box and opening it to the group.

"The glow in the dark secure of an Ultimate Human/Genius sceptre!" He yelled, revealing the object.

"Like Lokis one!" I called in a sick tone, I had a cold but I thought I could push through to play the game.

He placed the sceptre into position and everyone scattered to review their plan. Jake pulled me into a supply closest where Charles was waiting, at least it looked like Charles.

"Hi, I'm Bill.."

I gave Jake a very scared look, I mean he was basically a clone of Charles so I was a small bit scared.

"Are you sure your well enough to go this today? As much as I want to play this with you, I would much rather your felt good.." Jake said, I mean I knew he was right.

"I can push through, I'll be fine.." I said, followed by a soft sniffle.

"Riley, be honest.." He said, pushing me to tell the truth.

"Fine, I feel horrible, but this is so important to you and I don't wanna miss it!"

"Come on, get your car keys and I'll walk you downstairs.."

He walked me to my desk where I got my keys, us walking out in the open alerted everyone as they thought Jake was making a move. Instead we got in the elevator and headed downstairs to what Jake though would be a car.

"You have a motorbike?!" He said in disbelieve as I climbed on it.

"I do.." I laughed.

"Thats cool um, I can totally ride one too.." He nervously laughed.

"Jake, you can be honest here.." I laughed back.

"Your gonna have to teach me.."

"Next time.."

I sped off and only drove a block way because I needed to be out of there, to pull of my plan. Did you really think I was gonna miss the chance to make my mark on this precinct? It was my plan to get out of there so I wasn't a suspect. I mean who do you think gave him the idea of a sceptre?

All I had to do was return to the precinct, change into a costume and throw on a wig with a different hair colour to my own. I arrived back into the bullpen in my disguise and await for someone to make a move.

As I blended into the background, waiting for someone to make a move, thanks Amy. The bullpen filled with smoke and the 20 clowns arrived in. I saw the sceptre being passed around and managed to swap it out of my clone, one that didn't glow in the dark.

I mean now all I had to do was go home, maybe put on a movie for a while. I mean I did have time to kill after all. So I snuggles up on my coach, threw a blanket over myself and watched Civil War.

About half way into the film, I got a FaceTime call from Jake. Time to be 'sick' again.

"Hey Riley, look!"

He turned to camera to show the fake sceptre, leaning up against the wall.

"I'm winning this for us!" He laughed, flicking my back over to see his face.

"Aw Jake! I can't wait for you to win!"

Well I mean you probably aren't gonna win and I'm really sorry for that. I did feel sort of bad.

"After this I can come over? Do you like soup?" He asked, leaning the sceptre against the wall.

"Your too good Jake, thank you.." I said with a smile.

"Just text me your address, see you soon!"

He ended the call and I decided to head back to the precinct, ready for my reveal.

I was hanging around and then midnight struck, Jake still had the sceptre and made his was into the bullpen to make his speech on how he did it.

"Ladies, you may be wondering how I did it and to that I say-" Jake said, but was cut off by the lights going out.

"Who turned out the light?!" Holt yelled.

"Why is the sceptre not glowing?!" Amy called.

"Over there!" Rosa yelled.

I was set up outside on the roof and the squad cam running out to see me with the sceptre in hand.

"What the hell!?" Jake yelled, he was shocked but he a smile on his face at the same time.

"What, you didn't see that coming?" I laughed.

The roof had a little banner saying, 'Riley Always Wins', I didn't actually know what I wanted to say. I has some streamers up and a little cake on the table. It was a little celebration and I guess now I had to explain how I did it.

"So I faked being sick, I needed to be out of the building so nobody suspected me. Nobody would have suspected the new girl anyway. I gave Jake the idea of a sceptre, then he left his computer opened on a tab where you were buying this thing. I got that one you have, as a clone, this one here is the real deal. I returned in a wig and when someone made their move, I replaced it. So I took this home and when Jake called me, I seemed to be at home. Then I came back and set this up, triggered the lights and now we're here!" I said, giving a nervous laugh.

"You are.. amazing.." Jake laughed, coming over to give me a hug.

"Really? I was so scared you would be annoyed since you had the fake.." I laughed as he hugged me.

"It's hard to be mad at you, now come on let's go to Shaw's.." Jake said, wrapping his arm around me and leaving the roof.

Down in the bar, Jake passed me a beer and prepare to say what he needed to say.

"To Riley and I can easily say this, Riley you are the Ultimate Human/Genius!"

"Thank you Jake!" I giggled, taking a sip of my beer.

Everyone was chatting and laughed all night long. I was speaking with the girls on the team when I felt someones presents over me. After a few moments, the person bent down and whispered in my ear.

"So were parents next year?" Jake said with a little laugh.

"You really need me to win, I think you can do it on you own Jake.." I said, turning my head to meet his eyes.

"Hm, I think it might be more fun with you.." He laughed, lifting his head and walking back to the bar.

I watched him walk away, I mean god was he cute. I saw him grab a beer but I looked away before he could notice me and turned my attention back to the girls.

"Eyes on Jake.." Amy laughed, sipping her beer.

"No, I'm not into him like that, we're just great friends." I laughed back.

Well that was lying. I mean who wouldn't fall for Jake Peralta, I mean have you seen him?
